Siblings with Benefits Ch. 26

With no hesitation Mark said;

"Yes."

"I know I want it." I told him. "And I don't even know what it feels like."

"You sure about that?" Mark asked.

I shrugged.

"I would think I would know." I paused and sighed. "Then again, not like I have anything to compare it to. But you didn't either and you knew what it was."

Mark thought for a minute and, as he spoke, he seemed suddenly serious.

"You know Meg, that's what I had thought but once I was with Sammy I realized I had felt it before."

"You had?" I asked.

Mark smiled.

"As a matter of fact, I'd had that feeling before."

"With who?"

"Oh come on sis." Mark said. "You don't know who it could be that I've felt that good with?"

As I thought Mark looked at me expectantly and suddenly it hit me. I snapped my fingers and smiling said;

"Of course I know, it's pretty fucking obvious."

"Oh yeah?" Mark asked. "So who is it?"

"Well Krissy of course!" I told him.

"Krissy?" Mark repeated.

"Oh come on Mark, you loved your sweet little Krissy." I laughed. "Hell I watched you love her a couple of times."

I stopped laughing as I noticed Mark wasn't.

"It wasn't her?"

Before Mark answered I pointed and said;

"Oh okay I know you were a teenager, so that means it must have been Cynthia."

Mark rolled his eyes.

"Oh please Mark you and Cyn got pretty tight after that mess with Max." I looked at him

"What?"

Mark sighed;

"You were right the first time sis, it was Krissy. That's the only girl I ever felt that with."

"You sure?" He had a funny look on his face, as if he were lying.

"Positive."

With that Mark slid all the way down on the bed and, lying on his back, put his arm out. I gratefully rolled over against him, my head nestled into the crook of his arm and, sighing contentedly, said;

"Good night my brother."

"Sweet dreams sis." Mark answered quietly.

The honking of a horn snapped me out of my reverie and, looking up, I saw that the traffic was finally moving in front of me. As I punched the accelerator and changed lanes I once again returned to that night. Looking back on it there didn't seem to be a reason that I would have thought anything of Mark's trying so hard to be good to me or that odd look he had when I had spoke of Krissy. Now however, after what had just happened on Saturday night, it seemed clear as day. On the balcony when we had been interrupted by Royce's call Mark had said to me;

"I've waited a long time for you sis."

"Oh you fucking moron!" I snapped out loud.

Mark had known he had feelings for me way back then. I felt almost as bad as I had the other night, thinking about how hard he had tried to make love to me and I had turned it into a rape session. Then when I had asked him about love he had been talking about me and that was after I had just been thinking of how the two of us felt.

"Krissy." I muttered shaking my head.

As I drove down the highway I thought about another incident a few weeks after that night that had seemed odd and now made perfect sense. A month after Mark had spent that weekend he had called me and told me that he wanted to come down the following week. I had been thrilled and told him it was perfect timing because I had a surprise for him. Mark had said that he couldn't wait to see what it was then, turning serious, told me that when he came down he had to talk to me about something. I had asked what it was and all he had said was that it wasn't something to discuss over the phone. I asked if he was okay and he had said he was fine but wanted to talk in person. I said okay and then deciding that I couldn't wait another week to tell him I asked Mark if he wanted to know ahead of time what my surprise was. Mark had sighed and said, then it wouldn't be a surprise but, since I seemed so excited I should just go ahead and tell him. That's when I told Mark that I had met someone her name was Laura and she was beautiful and sweet and best of all! I was in totally love with her! Just before Mark had said he had to go I had blurted out;

"I think she's the one little brother, I'm so happy!"

Two days later Mark had called and said that something came up and he couldn't come down. I had asked about what he wanted to talk about. His answer had been;

"No worries sis I already figured it out."

Authors note: First off as always thank you to those who continue to follow the series. Your comments and votes are appreciated. I want to take a minute to mention a couple of people who deserve some recognition. I have been working with an editor named Jena for awhile now (some of my not so grammatically correct chapters were me not wanting to wait and posting without her) Jena is wonderful and trust me without her my stories would read like stereo instructions. I also would like to, starting with this chapter, welcome aboard JJJohns who is helping me with not only grammer, but tenses sentence structure and all that other tedious stuff I am clueless on. In addition to working forward with me, JJ is going back to Ch 1 and I will be posting edited versions as we go along. This is a brave man as this series is not short by any means. On that note we will be getting to the end of things soon. Maybe not necessarily chapter wise but I am getting to a point where the last few chapters are mostly written and when I get to them they will be released very quickly. As a tease I had two endings for this series and have found a way to use both, so if you have stuck around this far trust me it will be worth the wait. On a closing note; for those who have asked I am working on Lex Talionis aftermath. My ending of Chapter 5 was all new from the original meaning the Aftermath has to start from scratch. As I write this Ch.27 from SWB is a day away from going to the editor and I will be turning full attention to Aftermath.
