The Draco-lich grabbed her and the two of them went tumbling and rolling into the lava field. Both immune to the fire she breathed over the field encrusting them into rock before sinking below the surface. That was followed by a massive explosion below the surface. That sent just about every flying Chromatic dragon surrounding the Dragon of Bone dragon scattering or they fell into the lava. Fewer than 30 were seen leaving the area.

It was 6 months before the ground stopped shaking. The elven palace held up well. The same could not be said for Grand Falls. It sunk into an underground valley. It killed over half of the drow forces in that area but the rest surfaced and headed for elven lands under the ash cloud. Thousands of human refugees fled the advancing drow.

The battle with the drow raged for 3 years before that came to a close with the total elimination of all drow forces on the surface, they had no place to retreat at that point. Fewer than 100 half-dragons remained by the end of it all, Traxxa being one of them with his half-dragon wife.

Wars occurred all around the world. Mostly human on human. The dwarves survived with over half of their population intact. Thanks to Jazzia keeping the advancing dragon line from getting close and by sealing the valley floor to ensure it did not become a river of lava barring passage.

The human Queen was a Queen without a people as she saw herself. She had lost over 90% of her people because of the undetected drow caverns below her Kingdom. She eventually took her own life. Nobody ever found out what happened to the humans on the distant island. Those who knew how to get there having died in the war.

No news of Helnar's champion fighting in human versus human struggles. The dwarven Paladin never made it out of the deeper section of the dwarven homeland. When the forge area breached it all but sealed the lower levels.

The dragon's palace, homes, and the magical device that controlled fertility on the half-dragons were destroyed by the final descent and the earthquakes that followed. With the death of Golden Moon, Staria, the Silver Queen, and Jazzia the shields failed within a year.

Something obviously missed in the process by Golden Moon's research. The remaining dragons consolidated into the structures over the dragon homeland, except for Amy who stayed with her husband and had half-dragons for another 50 years. Wendia died in the closing days of the drow war. She was tending wounds on the field when Knight Paladin Dusk Moon fell.

The destruction of his holy symbol caused the death of the drow champion. That all but ending the war on that front. Killing Drow to elves in a three to one manner. His existence only being revealed after the hostilities ended. A new human faction from further south worked to close in.

They amassed toward the elven lands only to find a massive river ten times the width of any seen before It. With massively strong currents it was impassable. The river originated from the ocean and drained into what once was Grand Falls, spilling into the valley of steam, as volcanic overspill bubbled up from below.

The human refugees established a new settlement and set up their own small kingdom with little in the way of defenses. They quickly agreed to join the Alliance as some of the refugees were from Grand Falls with a few minor nobles surviving. On the other side of the river, a massive military had been building.

The elven embassy was abandoned due to increased hostility. The islands ended up being abandoned in the coming years. Lowered sea levels for the islands caused ships to be landlocked or beached. With the fall of the shields, they returned home but not before destroying anything they could not take with them. Including the wizard's tower and collecting the wood from a dead Silvertree.

Ensuring the wood and any seeds returned with them. The Elven war horses took to the skies and returned to the elven homeland to help replenish the lost numbers. Just over half of them survived the trip given the predators who hunted them. The evacuations to reduce the numbers years before by the Knight Paladin helped them to maintain a survivable breeding population.

At the age of 15; already in the tower with the rest of his siblings, he made the choice to accept the burden and the sword left behind by his mother. Jarrus Silvertree became the new bearer of the blade. Jarrus was an enchanter sorcerer who lived for 502 years. He never saw a day of real combat. Locked Fire immunity.

All 5 of his siblings died in skirmishes or rogue dragon attacks before reaching 90 years of age. Jarrus had four children. He noted Jazzia's 'I told you so clause and added her concern for her children and any champion's children into the historical section of the Blade Wielders Journal.

Jarrus spent his years straightening out the Silvertree library, consolidating the magical research within it, and made a complete copy of the Dragonic magical tomes. The tomes that could not be returned as no living heir was known to them.

The sword was taken up by his Son Gregious Silvertree upon his father's death and carried for 130 years. He died from being poisoned by an unknown attacker. Locked Danger Warning.

He had three children and one great-grandson named Faliar Silvertree. He took up the blade at 145 and died in a building collapse 170 years later. Removed Ogre and added Poison immunity.

He had one daughter who took up the blade at 100 years of age a few months following her father's passing. Salya never married. She had one son named Marcius. She lived another 80 years and died in childbirth carrying a stillborn child. Removed Drow and added Teleportation Circle.

Marcius took up the blade next. He was a prolific man and had 17 children over 300 years. 5 of which were actually born to his wife that he claimed, or so he thought. He died in a fight with a jealous husband who found him in bed with his wife and 2 daughters. The man killed his wife as well and disowned his daughters. He might have stood a chance in combat if he had not gotten completely hammered after nailing the three of them. Locked undead bane.

Theronus was the youngest son from his marriage, took up the blade after it rejected his two older brothers. They did not know she had been fucking around and they were not actually Silvertree heirs. He lived all of a year into his marriage at 80. In his will, he caused quite the controversy. Locked Evil dragon bane.

He only had one son who was born after he died from the opening shots of a human campaign from across the border of the great river. Underground volcanic activity in the Grand falls Valley area caused the great river to reverse course. Flowing from the valley into the Deep Sea at about half of the previous current rate.

That campaign ended days later with the arrival of 24 dragons. They sank any ships that came close to the allied side of the border. The forces retreated several miles from the edge of the Big river as infighting occurred. Then seemed to simply disappear. Theronus's son was born Jarronus Silvertree, based upon the mother's research.

She figured the great family lost itself around the time Jarrus was born a millennium ago. Several branches of the Silvertree family had died off, formed new houses, or been disowned over the years. What she did not know was what her husband set in motion with his will. He worked to disown the other 49 members of the family, based upon organized criminal activity including embezzlement.

The collection of data that accompanied the request forced the Queen of that time; Brina'Tia Goldeagle, to grant the request laid out in the will. The Duchy had been dissolved over 600 years earlier. The wood elf population having rebounded and resumed control over that land and much more.

Quatarsia still existed but was more of an oxymoron with the dissolution of the Gray Blades at the same time as the Duchy. It was a mostly elven community and mostly unaware of its great beginning. At the age of 14, Jarronus found his father's sword hidden in his mother's room in a bag of holding as it fell onto the floor while he read the journals of his ancestors. It claimed the boy as the new wielder. Weeks later he entered the academy early because his magical talents surfaced with a vengeance.

Karti'Ros had the following abilities locked in over the years. Intelligence, telepathic, and the Moon Fire. Built into the blade at the beginning and unchangeable. Summon to either hand, immunity to mind control. Immunity to fire, electricity, and poison.

Teleportation circle. Evil dragon and undead bane. Spell turning, Dragon vision, Danger telepathic warning all locked by the gods or a former wielder. Also, the God ability added which Karti'Ros did not have access to and could not confirm. All 12 runes locked on the sword. Over 1,000 years since Jazzia's birth.

Silver dragon blooded answer

To become a sorceress of a draconic blood line you have to have someone in your direct family line who mated with that dragon or should I say half-dragon. This could be traced back to thousands of years prior to the dragon wars.

She could get it from either family side. In this case it came from the Silvertree and the Silver Bow Line. The line for the Silvertree that survived the first dragon Wars when half-dragons were more prevalent. Mating with them was seen as a means to increase magical blood-lines in the elven people. The direct parent does not need to be half-dragon if you will. It can occur a hundred generations prior. I might have to write a prequel to this chain to cover the first Dragon Wars. Something to consider.

How is the champion part silver dragon? Wasn't Angel an elf blooded moon elf, and the prior champion was elf blooded or something. Did I miss a part were he somehow got silver dragon balls implanted?

bravo

I read chapter 5 and was amazed at the subtle changes and love every bit of the story. I love how you tweaked the characters and made them less abrasive in their exploits. I loved how Jarronus established his linage and released the soul in the sword to join his wife after 8000 years. It brings new life to the sword and a new and brighter outlook to the wielder. I would love to find out what happened to his wives after his death. I know they wondered if he suffered. Also with his passing did the house setting collapse or are they permanent since the Gold Dragon sealed them. Also, Lord Regal did he give his life and magic as Jarronus asked of him to help his people. so many questions and open situations. cant wait to read more... thanks for the update on 12 chapters total... cant wait

Well written

Well written. I did get a little lost in some of the geneolgy. The heroine was very like her father. I look forward to reading the resurface of silver tree.
