"So why have these marks appeared on me?"

"I have no idea. Those marks haven't appeared on anyone, ever. No-one since the original three. Plenty of demon rulers have carved those marks into themselves to pretend, but how or why they've just appeared on you I don't know."

Ethan stayed quiet for a moment. He looked down at himself and the marks covering his body before looking over at Ruby and Anna. They were huddled on the bed, obviously scared of what was happening, but not daring to move.
