Cassius mounted Jessica and started her engine. She let out a mighty, healthy roar, and they sped off into the distance.
By the time Ferys and Idri woke up hours later, Cassius was already over two hundred miles away, and the ground transitioned to solid brown stone. Jessica's wheels didn't leave a trail, so he couldn't be tracked on it. The mountain was much closer now, and the heavenly light above was shining down on him. It would be a long climb, but with Jessica at his side, he felt like he could do anything.
