I wasn't exactly jumping for joy when I heard this story, but that was only because I didn't want to wake everyone up.
When I decided to go to bed myself, I entered our bedroom, and Kathy was asleep, huddled in a fetal position. I crawled in behind her, and moved in close, holding her until she relaxed and straightened out. I fell asleep spooning my wife.
