Oh God. please, please, she thought desperately. Those footsteps had been close and it wouldn't--

She had to hide. Perhaps if she hid he would think she'd escaped into another room.Then she could make her escape while he was searching!

Erin frantically tried to find a place to hide, forgetting in her blind, terrified, panic both about the locked door and whatever she had just knocked to the floor in front of her. Erin darted forward, only to trip on the broken item and send herself flying into a side table. She heard a sickening thud from somewhere close, as sharp nauseating pain shot though her head.

"Please... someone... help me.."

Her conscious mind tried desperately to break free of the darkness taking over.

Suddenly her world went black.
