The Adventures of Tim Bodge

As told to me by Retired Colonel Tim Bodge, a true story is in the year of our King's 3232. There will be a little sex, So here we Go.

Chapter 1

Tim was dreaming. At least he thought he was. He was hearing a lovely female voice. It was a soft and sweet voice.

Sir, wake up.

Sir, wake up.

Please open your eyes.

Tim started to open his eyes slowly. He opened them, the bright lights hurt. He closed them.

The soft female voice said, "Hello, Sir. At least now I know you are still with us. But it would be best if you rest more," she continued, "I will dim the lights. Rest now. I will come back later to see if you are feeling any better,"

Tim thought, "Well, I know at least I'm not dead, I think. But the voice, I don't remember a female in my dream."

Wait a minute; I was on a passenger shuttle! I remember a six-legged creature, massive scythe-like claws, compound eyes, that looked like a bug coming at me.

Someone grabbed me and pulled on my arm; we were running to an escape pod. Somehow I was placed into the escape pod. I could not remember anything, just darkness until I heard that female voice.

**

It must have been about six hours since he first opened his eyes and heard the voice.

Tim could hear a sound coming from somewhere around him. After a while, he opened his eyes, and most of the blurriness was gone. The lights were dim. It took a few minutes for his eyes to get adjusted to seeing his surroundings.

He turned his head to look around; he was looking at a medical unit with all kinds of equipment.

The sound that he was hearing was coming from a portable monitor machine just to his right. It was attached to his right arm. It just made a strange sound, beep, bur, beep, bur.

As he looked around to see what else he could see, a female appeared out of nowhere.

She said, "Hello, Sir. How are you feeling today?" She was standing about three feet from him.

"Where am I? and who are you?" Tim asked.

She said, "Sir, My name is Sarha, and you are on my ship,"

Tim thought, "Sarha is a beautiful woman. But there was something about her that does not seem right."

Tim asked, "Sarha, How did you just appear in front of me, from nowhere."

"I am the ship's A.I.," Sarha said.

"I did not know our ships have A.I.'s," Tim replied.

Sarha replied, "I do not know if your fleet has A.I.'s."

"If I am not on one of our ships, where am I?" Tim asked.

"You are on my ship. It is one of the Special Guardian Ships. It is called Star Gladiator 1," Sarha stated.

"How did I get here then?" Tim asked.

Sarha states, "I was traveling through this system and came upon a large conflict area. I pulled your pod into my ship. I can get into more details later. For now, I need a medical checkup for injuries. With your permission, I will need to run a few tests!"

"What kind of test?" Tim, with a questioning look.

"Well," Sarha said, " One of them is for a DNA profile, I know you have an injury to your lower right side, just below your ribs. It does not look bad. Also, you have a cut on the right side of your head. Both will take an hour to heal."

She placed a small hand-held device against his wounds. With a low hum and a bright light, he could feel the skin starting to heal.

A little over an hour later, he was feeling like a new man. The machine somehow disconnected itself from his right arm and moved to the corner of the room.

Tim wondered, "How can this be? The way I was feeling, it should take at least a month or more to heal.

Sarha came into the room. "How are you feeling now?"

Tim said, "I just wished we had this in our medical kits. There would be a lot of wounded soldiers saved. Now can we get on with what is going on here?"

"If we could move to the ship's bridge, I will answer your questions." There was a flash, and Tim was standing on an enormous bridge of The Star Gladiator 1.

Tim asked with a sudden shock look on his face. "How in the Hell, what just happen?"

Sarha said, "Sorry, that was our Matter Transfer system,"

Tim looked around the bridge, with such an enormous bridge, why was there no one else at any stations?

Tim asked, "Where is everyone?"

"We are the only ones here! The whole ship is automated," Sarha replied.

"How can that be? The size of this ship must take at least one thousand crewmembers.

I am an A.I. with this ship. I control all parts of this ship.

"Just how big is this ship?" Tim asked with a very questionable look.

Sarha explained, "This is The Star Gladiator 1. It is in your unit of measurement, one mile long. I cannot tell you must more about the ship at this time. If we could move ahead, is there anything you need at this moment?"

Tim said, "Yes, is there anywhere on this ship. I might get a bite to eat?"

Sarha said, " I have updated the food dispenser aboard to recognize your DNA profile so that your first meal does not kill you; I have an automatic food dispenser on the wall to your left. Just speak to it and tell it what you want."

"You mean, it can make any food? All I have to do is ask!"

Tim walked over to the food dispenser and said, "Steak and baked potato with butter on the side. Cook the Steak medium-well." A few minutes later, the food appeared.

Tim picked up the food and starting to eat. "It tastes great; I would not believe this came from a food dispenser," He said.

Tim said, "OK, what is the next thing we have to do or talk about?"

Sarha asked, "What happened, do you remember?"

"I had just gotten out of the Elite Special Force's Group. I was a Colonel. I'd been in service for twenty-five years. I retired, not wanting to see any more fighting. I was on my way home to visit my parents. After that, I planned on getting a ship and traveling.

I was aboard a ship going to Deimos, one of the moons of Mars. I was seated in the front row, trying to sleep. We were about 12 hours out and felt a jerk and heard a massive blast. I started to get out of my seat and a second blast sent me to the floor. I hit something with my right side.

I must have hit my head simultaneously because I don't remember too much after that. I do think that one of the flight attendants was helping me. Then I heard screams and saw a bug-like figure, and the flight attendant was leading me and others to the escape pods. She pushed me into a pod and shut the door. The next thing I remembered is your voice.

Sarha said, "Well, yours was the only pod I found in the area. Sorry."

"I need to know how long was I out. What do we do now?"

Sarha said, "The answer to your first question, by your unit of measurement, you were out for one week. For your second question, we will have to talk about that!"

"one week, did you stay in the same system? "

"We have moved to the next uninhabited system. If you want, I will return you."

"Do I have a choice? What if I wanted to stay here on your ship for a while? Could that be possible?"

"For the time being, you may stay on the ship," Sarha replied.

"Sarha, is there anything you may tell me about your ship?" Tim asked.

Sarha explained, "The race that built this ship was far advanced on their technology; this ship is about 900 of your years old. I do not know if any of the others of my kind are still around. When I started, I had three thousand crewmembers; we traveled through many systems. As we began to meet new life forms, some of them were warring types. We lost a lot of our members to this type of life form. Along with battles, many got sick and passed away.

The last of the crew left me almost 250 years ago. The final member to die was the Captain. His last words were, "Keep looking, and you will find a new captain and crew." I have kept going because that was my previous order; sometimes, I felt like turning all my systems off. But then I am only an A.I., I'm not allowed to think for myself, so I keep looking. That is most of my story."

Tim said, "So you have been here on this ship for over 250 years by yourself. Am I the first person you have brought on to this ship? Why?"

Sarha said, "Yes, When I came upon the battle scene, my sensors had a strange reading, something slightly different about the only pod left there. It must have something special to be the only one left. So I brought on board.

"Thanks for saving me. It has been a long day. I seem to be needing a place to sleep."

"OK, I see no reason that you cannot sleep in the captain's quarter's."

Tim said, "Are you sure. I could sleep in one of the other quarters."

Sarha says, "Please give me a minute, and I will have the bots clean the rooms quickly."

Tim asks, "What do you mean, bots?"

Sarha states, "I am an A.I., I cannot do the work myself, so I have robots that do the work for me since no one has been on board this ship in over 250 years. The bots have been doing minimal cleaning. I will have them do a quick run through cleaning.

Sarha said, "The Captain's quarters are only one deck down, and there is also the Office's Mess Hall with a small kitchen. I will show you the way. The elevator is on the right side of the bridge, the doors with the red trim around them. If power fell's, a small light over the door will come on."

"I will walk with you." She said as she walked to the elevator.

Tim followed her to the elevator, getting out and making a right turn into a long hallway. There were only a few doors to the right and a lot to the left in this section. They came to the first door on the right.

Sarha said, "The door on the right here is to the Officer's Mess Hall. There is a small kitchen if you want to make yourself something to eat. There is also an automatic food dispenser. The door on the left is X.O.'s quarters. The door at the end of the hall is the Captain's quarters."

Turning around and looking behind her, she said, "The doors along this hallway are where the rest of the bridge crew members lived." She then turned around and walked up to the Captain's quarters' door, and it opened automatically.

They walked through into the Captain's quarters. It was a vast room, against the far wall, was a large four-post bed. The room's right side was a set of chairs, formed into a circle with tables next to each. On the left was a small set-up for an office. It also had a Secured Channel robust universal communication relay set-up.

Sarha said, "You will find a shower through the door on the left, the door to the right, a walk-in closet. If you leave your garments on the stand next to the bed, I will have a service bot come and get them. They will be cleaned and returned before tomorrow morning.

Tim said goodbye to her and sat on the bed for a minute. Deciding he should take a shower, he crossed the room and into the left door and quickly stopped. Looking at the shower, he thought, "This is so large I think 4 or 5 people can fit in it at the same time." Tim removed his clothes and stepped into the shower. He found it had water jets that could be sprayed out of the three walls from shoulder and hip height at the same time. It felt terrific and enjoyed it. After drying off and placing his clothing on the stand next to the bed, he laid down and went to sleep.

***

When Tim got up the next morning, the bot did a real good job cleaning his clothes to his surprise. He got dressed and headed to the Officer's Mess Hall.

Tim called Sarha, "Sarha, How does your food dispenser make the food?"

Sarha explains, "Our replicator machine simply manipulate the basic of matter and producing; as a result, any material we desire. We start with basic material like water and hydrogen gas in the right mixer; we make anything.

Tim is now thinking about having ham and eggs, and he orders the ham and eggs. After eating them and headed to the bridge.

Tim was walking onto the bridge and seeing Sarha standing beside the Captain's chair. She turns to look at Tim.

Tim says, "Thank you for coming to my aid yesterday!"

***

On the other side of this uninhabited system, there was a fight going on. A lonely small cargo ship with the Pilot and co-pilot aboard was being fired upon by a pirate ship. The smaller ship only had one close-range weapon, and the pirates stayed behind them out of range. The pirates were trying to disable the smaller ship's engines. The Pilot was doing it's best not to run a straight line but to zigzag.

On a long-range scanner, the Pilot saw a more massive ship. The Pilot is hoping it was not the pirate's mother ship, headed straight for it, sending out an emergency distress call. The pirate's seeing the same ship on their scanner, knowing it was not theirs, increased their firing upon the smaller ship.

Sarha's long-range scanners picking-up the two ships and the emergency call, Showing on the view-screen.

Tim walking over to were Sarha, was standing and looked down at the scanner. Tim, while looking at the scanner and hearing the emergency call. "Sarha, are you going to look into what's happening with the two ships?"

"No, I leave things alone. It is not my business." Sarha replied.

Tim said, "But that might be the same pirates that took out the ship I was on! Is there any way we could help? can you contact both ships and ask them to stop firing?"

Sarha states, "I cannot do it myself because I'm not allowed to interfere. I am an A.I. from another time and system, and not allowed to interfere with things unless told to do so."

Tim said, "If you cannot do it, is there any reason I cannot ask you to do something about it?"

Sarha said, "No. Do you wish for me to open up a channel to both ships for you?"

"Yes," Tim replied, While I'm talking to them, I need you to scan each ship. Tell me how many individuals are on board each vessel. What type each ship is and the weapons they have, can this be done, check on their shields' status?"

Sarha said, "I have opened up a channel to both ships. Checking on the other things now!"

Tim spoke, "This is colonel Tim Bodge, retired; on board The Star Gladiator 1, Cease firing, lower your shields, and bring your ships to a stop! now."

The smaller of the two replied, "Please Help us!"

The pirates' ship replied, "Fuck you, once we finish this off, we'll come over and take your ship and cargo, too!" continued to fire upon the smaller ship.

Tim asked, "Sarha, Do you have the information I asked for?"

Sarha was telling Tim, "Yes, I have most of the information and still getting more. The smaller ship is a corvette from the Bumkli Gravity System. A royal family ship. Two warm-blooded beings in that one. The only weapon is a tiny beam laser. Their shields are down to about 20%. Their ship is in terrible shape, and will not last must longer!'

The other is a cruiser, and their transponder is off. I have scanned and find there are ten beings, seven are throughout the ship, but three are in a drop-ship. The weapons are heavy cannon forward-pointing, three-beam laser turrets, right, left, and top-mounted. Shields are at 100% now. Drop ship no weapons.

Tim asks, "Thanks, Now what weapons do we have?"

Sarha states, "Tim, I have two Pulse laser for medium-range; they are forward mounted, they fire approximately one-second difference from each other. Beam Laser for long-range and long Cannon for more massive ships, and have sixteen beam cannons in the defense grid."

Tim said, "Sarha, please raise our shields and ready the pulse laser's to fire."

Sarha said, "Tim, the drop-ship is leaving now?"

Tim asked, "Pilot of the Bunkli Gravity System vehicle, please hold a stay course; you are about to be boarded."

The Pilot asked Tim quizzically, "We have no weapons to fight off a boarding party. Please hurry!!"

Tim asked, "Pilot, What is your name? If you hold your course, we will be able to fire on the drop-ship before it gets to you."

The Pilot replied, "My name is Tabitha; again please, hurry."

Tim said quietly, "Sarha, Let me know when we get into the firing arc!"

"Will be in firing arc, one minute, Shields is up, pulse laser's are online and ready."

Tim states, "Sarha, I want the dropship first. Try to do the best we can, and then the pirate's ship. Fire when ready."

Sarha, all the information is in the system; the system calculates the firing arc, The drop-ship is about halfway between both ships, the first shot of the pulse laser's hits the drop-ship in the rear and takes out the engine. The second takes out the whole ship in less than 10 seconds. Sarha system now changes to the pirate's ship; they have started to turn towards The Star Gladiator 1; Sarha system is working on a firing arc and is ready. The first two shots are for taking out the shields.

The pirate's ship gets turned around and fires off their heavy Cannon. Their shot hits the Star Gladiator 1, head-on the shields drop to 80%.

Tim watched from the bridge, The pirate's ship is a fast cruiser making the turn that fast, but the time between shots, will make the difference. Their reload time is 10 seconds. Sarha has made the corrections, and the firing arc set; the first two shots took out 90% of their shields. Sarha ready for her second attempt, shooting straight into the bridge; the first blast finished off the shields; the second went through the bridge and straight thru the ship; after two seconds, there was a massive explosion when it ended in the power core. There was nothing left of the pirates ship.

Tim said, "open a channel to Tabitha Please, Sarha," she opens a channel for Tim, "Tabitha, are you and your passenger, OK?"

"Yes! Thank you for saving us, but we are disabled now. We have no power and no way to get anywhere. Is there a possible way you could give us a hand?"

Tim asks, "Sarha, can we bring them aboard?"

"I can bring the whole ship aboard. Do you wish to do so?" Sarha replied.

"Tabitha, we will bring your whole ship into our cargo bay. Please stay in your ship until we check things out."

"OK," came the reply, "Just let us know when it is OK to exit our ship."

Sarh said, "I will start the tractor beam, and bring the ship into cargo bay one, once it is inside, I will start decontamination."

As he watched on the monitor, a blue tractor beam reached out to get a hold of the corvette and brought it toward their ship. From the side of the Star Gladiator 1, a bay door began to spiral open. The tractor beam got the corvette to the ship's side and lined it up to the bay doors; after it lined up, a second beam from the inside of the ship's bay started bringing it into the vessel's setting it down softly in the middle of the cargo bay. The bay doors began its spiral closing; as soon as the doors were closed, a light decontamination mist began to spray all around the corvette. It only took about 10 minutes for the whole thing to take place.

Sarha showed Tim how to get to cargo bay one. As they walked down, Sarha asked, "How are we going to handle this?"

"What are you asking me?"

Sarha said, "Since this is only the second time having someone on board in over 250 years, what do you think we should do?"

Tim asks, "Do you have any hand-held weapons? Just in case!"

Sarha said, "I have a bot bringing you a handgun from the armory."

In a few seconds, a bot showed up with a light laser weapon. Tim took it from the bot and checked it out. He made sure where the safety was and that it was off.

Tim placed the weapon in his belt in the back. Sarha then led him to cargo bay one. Moving into the bay, he started checking out the ship. All over the ship were marking from where it had been hit.
