Click here"Apologies, I tried to not get so carried away." She beamed at the sight of his cheeks flushing. She shrugged, head in a daze of euphoria. It had felt amazing, nothing like the pleasure she had felt before. Not that it had been bad, just different. She pulled away and sat down beside him, resting her head back against the headboard as he legs quivered from the strenuous activity.
"Do you truly love me?" she finally asked. He turned and kissed her chin as he muttered the phrase. Again and again, with each kiss, he told her repeatedly just how much he loved her until she fell back against the bed in surrender. As the postcoital bliss slowly evaporated she looked looked up at him.
"I am afraid to let myself love you again," she confessed, feeling utterly vulnerable.
"You do not need to say it back unless it is how you feel from the bottom of your soul. And if that is not today, then perhaps someday. I will show you that I am a man worth loving again," he vowed.

CignettaRosamundover 6 years agoI was ready to despise Nicolas to the end-but clearly there's more than what meets the eye here.
Astrid is a firecracker- and I love how Tystan and Thora have a semblance of a loving relationship despite its origins and how it parallels with Eira and Nicolas' bond.
I love Eira's spiritedness -and am glad she is reawakening her true powers slowly but surely.
Certainly didn't expect Nicolas's little story at the end-and while he did commit many sins,I can see why he hated Eira's father.
Seems they've both made up.
Lets see how this will end.

dreamer3366about 7 years agoI'm hooked on this series and thank you for the side story on Tryst and Thora. That's what got me started and now will have to back track to the beginning. I love this genre...to me it's erotic fantasy with non/com and a lot of other elements thrown in the mix. It's pure escapist read at it's best.
