The Barn Ch. 08

"But what about Ma and Pa?" Luke Jr. asked, "You don't mean them too?"

"I'm afraid I do, boy. Something bad is happening in the barn and we have to keep everyone away from the house. Can you do that? Can you help me git these kids up to home?"

"I'll help you," Luke Jr. said, "but I'm sore afraid. I'm worried about Ma, Pa, and Rachel."

"I am too, but help is on the way. It won't be here for three hours and until that time we gotta make sure the kids are safe. Are you with me, boy?"

"I don't understand," the boy said with tears in his eyes, "but I'm with you."

With little Luke's help, Amos was able to take the children, one by one, up to the house. Once they had all the children inside, Amos locked all the doors and picked up his shotgun.

"Something is really bad isn't it?" Luke Jr. asked.

"It is really bad, and I want you to git back up to bed. Thanks for your help, and if I need you again, I'll call you down here. Until that time, you shut and lock your door. Don't worry, I'm not goin' to let anyone hurt you, and we got help on the way."

The next few hours passed terribly slowly for Amos as he firmly grasped his shotgun and often looked out the window at the barn. During those hours Amos prayed that none of his family would come up to the house. He was not sure about what he would do, but he was sure he would not let them inside.

In the barn Micah stood at the forefront of the erotic revelry. He watched as all manner of sexual activity took place before him. He drank deep from the energy, which radiated from the orgy, and his eyes blazed an ever brighter crimson.
