Click hereIt's okay and I like talking to you as well. I guess it's fine. - Diana
Really? Thanks, Diana. - Blair
No problem, my number's: *********** - Diana
Thank you. Don't worry, I'm not gonna text you like every other second. - Blair
No problem. Now can I ask you something? - Diana
Sure. - Blair
Why did you and Riley fall out? She doesn't talk about you much, but she said that when you were kids you were more like the best sisters in the world or something. - Diana
Um... - Blair
You don't have to answer if you don't want to. - Diana
No, it's fine. You want the simple answer or the long one? - Blair
Whatever's fine with you. - Diana
Okay. Basically, she started developing early and then she had to move away. I guess she got a massive ego boost along the way and, next time I saw her, she was like she is now. Honestly, I was bit a mixed up about her going away. She was starting to act annoying, but she was like my sister, you know? - Blair
Yeah, I get it... do you think she sleeps on her tits? - Diana
Probably, I couldn't blame her. If they're like mine at all, they're softer than my pillows. - Blair
TMI, Blair. TMI. - Diana
Sorry, couldn't help it. - Blair
No worries... is it true? - Diana
Is what true? - Blair
You know... your breasts being softer than pillows. - Diana
Oh, wanna feel? - Blair
Um, no, I'm fine. - Diana
You sure? I don't mind at all. – Blair
Yeah, I'm sure. Thanks for the offer I guess. – Diana
Throughout the class, they continued to pass notes. Diana had long since forgotten her original intention, finding that she was actually enjoying this conversation. It was rare that she conversed with someone, verbally or in the written sense, and genuinely wanted to continue the dialogue. As they continued passing notes like two girls back in grade school, she found herself thinking she might actually have a real friend in this woman. Maybe more, a voice in the back of her head noted, though it went ignored.
When the bell rang to signal the end of the day, she felt disappointed. As she stood, Blair was smiling at her warmly. It was an emotion she rarely saw in a smile, given the group she considered her friends. Their smiles were usually false, with different thoughts brewing in their heads. Sincerity was a rare trait to come by in the modern world, and, unless she was a great actress, Blair seemed to be completely sincere.
"I'll talk to you later, Diana." Blair said as she walked by, giving her a friendly grin. Diana returned the expression, not even thinking about what would happen if Riley or someone else saw her doing so. They even waved goodbye to each other, before Blair disappeared down the hall, leaving Diana feeling alone, despite the people around her. She had never felt like this before, even when she was left alone by Riley or anyone else, she never felt lonely in any sense of the word. Probably because she wanted to keep talking to Blair.
As if on cue, her phone vibrated in the pocket of her jeans. She picked it up and saw an unknown number.
Hey, it's Blair. Just giving you my number and letting you know I'm actually looking forward to school tomorrow. See you soon, xXx Blair.
Diana couldn't stop the grin that spread on her face. She was looking forward to it as well.
