Karen thought to herself that this was turning out just fine. She had been worried that with the three women she had been dominating now about to move on, her career as a dominatrix might be ending. She congratulated herself on being in love with a man who appreciated and indeed craved that side of her. While she still had no liking for her own mother, she gave silent thanks to Barbara for introducing her son to the wonderful realm of female dominance.

You lost me as soon as you mentioned 6 different names in the first paragraph. Would rather read the story without having to study the characters.
