"A week to reach the edge of the forest. Probably another week to the nearest outpost, but I don't know the way. We'll have to ask for directions or find a caravan to join. The elves will probably react better if we bring some gifts or trade items."

"I've got a little. It might be enough to get us there and back, if we're careful." Corec had more than enough coin on him, but he wasn't going to mention that to an admitted thief. He'd use his extra pouch of silver for purchases, and leave his other coin pouch hidden.
