The Freedom of Slavery

byastartevenus©

Gobin spoke to his brothers through their mental bond: "Brothers, she is right, we must be careful with her, especially around other empaths, because she gives off powerful emotions naturally. Lezar, I will need Kalba's strength as an anchor if I am to dispel these emotions. Ilan, we need the cushions and furs, I fear we may be here awhile, Helius, I need you to see what she sees. We need to find what horrors are still haunting her. Let us hope she responds to my purrs, or we may have to wait till we find Ara back home."

The brothers knew that while Lezar had the highest rank, Gobin was their healer, and a healer knew best for wounds of all types. They did as he asked, and hoped Alza would respond to Gobin's purrs.
