Click hereAs I emerged I found her sat at our table. Writing on my notepad.
I sat down with total relief and she pushed the pad back to me.
"My mobile 079******** You had better call me! X X X Kara."
A smile like no other started on my face and I couldn't shift it. Not as she winked at me gathered her things. Not as she placed another kiss on my cheek and left. Not as I watched her leave. It physically hurt to smile but I couldn't stop it.
I stretched out in my chair and had to use my hands to rub my aching face. I knew already I would text her as soon as I left the library.
Clark and Kara I mused to myself. This was going to be one hell of a relationship!
you are a very good writer.
Please write more like this.
What vivid imagery you did paint! Although you fleshed out (pun intended) the characters more in this tale, I found myself transported to the library. If not as an active participant, perhaps as a voyeur peering from between the stacks in the next row. You have a Fitzgeraldesque quality to your writings. My favorite line "Perhaps, I thought, that gravity was a lie and she was the reason I was bound to this Earth." could easily have been written by Scott describing Zelda.
SO natural and beautiful and plausible....instant chemistry and pure passion.... more!!
