Then it is so wordy, why say what you can in ten words if 3 paragraphs is just as good? -- lost interest. Good Descriptions, and like the style but in desperate need of a rewrite. What was the name of the book?

Why did you spoil it with the hint at swinging or swapping?
Same boring old cliche when an author runs out of good ideas for a story. All the guy had to say was it wasn't the book he meant, but he was happy for the mistake, then they fuck again. No need for the swapping shit then.
Otherwise a great story.
