From across the street, the vagabond had watched the reunion with wistful eyes. His purpose was done: she had her family now and would no longer need him as she had before. Fighting back a lone tear in the corner of his eye, he smiled at the young gypsy and said quietly, "Good luck to you, my sweet Valentine, and good-bye." And with that, he walked down the alley and disappeared through the meandering crowd.

Amazing

This is the most romantic beatiful story. You must write more of this gypsy's travels. I was heart broken that the vagabond did not stay.

Impressive

Thank you so much for putting a well-written, thought-provoking story together for everyone to share. I enjoyed the fluidity, the detail and the imagery. Very well done.

I love it!

I love it. It's the perfect balance of romance and the reality of real life. There is nothing more heroic than putting someone else's well-being before your own. Very real. It couldn't have been written better. Keep up your literary greatness, I would love to see more from you.
