When he was ready, he came back over to me and said; "There's stuff for breakfast down in the kitchen, if you're hungry. And the coffee's ready, too." I listened as he went down the stairs and out the door. As I heard his car leave, I thought about that coffee. But, looking down at her cuddled up against me, I decided that I was just too comfortable to get up yet. So, I pulled the sheet up over us, put my arm around her shoulder and went back to sleep.
