The Man of the House

"That was incredible," She whispered, "I love you."

"I love you too, mom. I hope this isn't going to change things."

"Were two adults, Chris, if we're ok with this, then its ok."

I hugged her tightly and said, "We better get cleaned up before Susan gets home."

With that we got up, she wrapped her arms around me and kissed me deeply one last time, then headed for the shower. I pulled my clothes back on and headed back to the kitchen for that sandwich I was after when I first got home.

On nearing the bottom of the stairs I heard a voice coming from the kitchen. It was Susan's. She was talking on the phone and sounded really upset. As I entered the kitchen behind her I realized she was talking to Tammy.

"THEY'RE UP THERE FUCKING RIGHT NOWWW!!" she whispered loudly into the phone, thinking no one would hear.

Then she turned to see me standing there. "Oh crap," I thought.

"I gotta go Tam." And she hung up.
