Kelly smiled and said, "I will hold down the fort while both of you are away and will attempt to gather any information I can to assist you in getting set up. Should I expect any further deliveries?"

I stood up and said, "Well now that we have that settled, Beth we have a few more things to get done before we are ready to travel. Thank you Kelly and I'll let you know your new salary when we get back from our trip, if that's alright with you. I will talk to Mr. Banks and Ms. Summers during our flight. At quarter after two Beth entered my office and said, "A man named Joe Bailey is in my office and said he is ready to take our bags down to the limo."

Tom and I reviewed the files on my new laptop and when I looked up I saw Brenda and Beth had their laptops open as well. I asked Tom about the pay scale for Kelly and he told me to get a copy of his secretary's pay scale and compare the employment time and abilities then I should make an offer to Ms. Jones. Tom told me if she accepts the offer then notify the finance department. I asked some other questions pertaining to how often I would be traveling and Tom said he wanted a new policy whereby we spent more face time with the companies we did business with. Tom told me I could delegate some of the trips to department managers and department heads as long as the trip coincided with that department. Tom also told me I would be given a list of the company owned planes and the smaller planes should be used by the managers and department heads.
