After making sure the door to their suite was securely locked, Nancy returned to the bed that she'd shared with her aunt the night before. The memory of how Eloise had suggested they engage in a sixty-nine while Bess and George watched flitted through her mind, causing a blush that spoke of how exciting she found the idea, though she forcefully expelled it from her mind in order to accomplish the long overdue meeting that the four of them were about to have.

She'd wanted to choose one of the more decent dresses that she'd brought from home and had even gone to take one from her suitcase, only to find that every article of clothing that she'd brought from River Heights was gone. Only her bras, panties, stockings and garters were left and, upon informing the others of this, they soon found that their clothes had also been removed from the suite.

Now happily forced to dress like a whore, Nancy forwent a bra and slipped on a white lace thong before choosing the dress that George had bought her. This was partially because she liked it, but also a sort of olive branch that she could hold out to George, who still wasn't meeting her eyes. However, Nancy's instincts told her that there was more to that than their personal falling out as George was just as reluctant to meet the eyes of Bess and Eloise. The teen sleuth had little doubt that her new body was mostly the cause of her withdrawn attitude and hoped an explanation to that would be given during their imminent meeting.

Eloise donned the shiny, form flattering PVC set. It was obvious how all three girls felt about it by the way they stared at her braless breasts, hanging perfectly in the snug, long sleeved top that left her belly exposed. The outfit's skirt ended just above her knees, accentuating well her round hips, and the girls' eyes were helplessly drawn to how PVC spread from the top of the slit in back, exposing the bottoms of her aunt's shapely cheeks, the insides of her thighs and the crotch of her black thong.

George's proud new breasts were eye popping in a gauzy white, clingy top and, without a bra, her nipples were almost impossible to look away from The high collar and long sleeves somehow added to the daring top's sex appeal, the seeming modesty these features offered completely trumped by the body hugging, translucent material. A sassy pair of stretchy, black, cotton short shorts with black, three inch wedges rounded out her look and the other three helplessly wondered if she was wearing panties.

Bess wore the black bikini she'd bought, the horizontal ellipsoids of the top covering her nipples, but not much more under the short, yellow, fishnet T-shirt she wore. She sat cross legged on the bed with an innocent smile, the narrow strip of black material barely covering her snatch while the laughingly short, black skirt did nothing whatsoever to help.

"Bess," Eloise asked with disapproval as she unconsciously licked her lips, why are you wearing a bikini?"

"Because I'm going swimming later," the unapologetic blonde answered.

This seemed a reasonable answer, and Eloise found herself about to let it go at that when she reminded herself that everything Nancy had been telling her was true, and that there was something very seriously wrong at The Faldor Hotel. Her body jerked at the further memory of floating in the strange semen, ingesting it, breathing it while convulsing in mindless orgasm that was so good that she-

Giving her head a small shake to clear the unnatural pleasure she'd experienced in the so-called subbasement, Eloise was about to lecture the delicious looking blonde on the seriousness of their situation when Bess added to her defense.

"Besides, nothing I have left in my suitcase will be any more decent anyway. If that's what you were worried about. When are we going down for breakfast?"

This last was directed at the room, but nobody answered, Nancy and George as unconcerned about Bess's choice of clothing as they were about breakfast. With a slight scowl and another look between Bess's legs, Eloise joined her on the bed closest to the door, sitting beside the blonde as George sat across from them, eyes wide, but downcast, demeanor quiet like it had been all morning. If Eloise didn't know better, she'd swear the normally unflappable girl was afraid of something.

Nancy noticed this as well, surreptitiously eying George as she settled in beside her. Had they been getting along as they usually did, she would have thought nothing of taking her aside to ask if there was a problem and this, she decided then and there, was the first thing that she ought to rectify. If she could.

"(Ahem), Um, George?"

George looked up, barely holding eye contact with her best friend as Nancy began with a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she carefully spoke.

"I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings. I didn't mean to. You know I love you and I... I wouldn't want anything to ever come between us and our friendship. This isn't an excuse, but I've had a lot on my mind lately, along with this mystery and my worry about what's happened to Susan Quinn, and... well, maybe this wasn't the best time for me to take on a mystery, but Aunt Eloise needed me, and I guess timing isn't always something any of us can choose. Um, besides what I told you about Ned and I, I've been a little distracted about some other things... what and who I am... where I'm going from here. I suppose Ned and all his talk about getting married started it, but I got out here and I started wondering... As I said, none of this is an excuse, I'm not even sure what I'm trying to tell you, I just know that I'm so sorry that I made you feel the way I did, and I wanted you to know that and that I... I want to talk about... things... with you. Sometime."

Throughout this, Nancy's and George's eyes remained carefully in contact and, while it was hard to tell exactly what George was thinking in the pause that followed, Nancy did at least receive a nod. This gesture could have simply been meant to convey to Nancy that she'd been listening and had understood what she'd said, or it could have been an acceptance of her apology. It was hard to tell what it implied but, beyond this or any observable reactions, she did feel that she'd at least gotten her feelings on the matter across to her best friend.

The thing of it was that this in itself was odd. George was usually more emotionally open and easy to read. Perhaps the real problem wasn't that she was being purposefully evasive in this manner, but the perceived fear that overlay anything else her demeanor could put out. It was as though she'd been informed that World War Three had already gotten under way and that the expected Soviet missiles were already in flight and headed for the United States as they spoke.

Completely opposite of George, Bess was very open and forward, yet quite sincere when she declared, "Nancy, I'm sorry about what happened with me and Ned. I knew he was your boyfriend and I shouldn't have allowed what happened. If it helps at all, I honestly never meant for that, it's just that... Well, as you said to George, this is no excuse, but he was all over me and, like you, things had changed with me. See, I'd always had this view of myself that... I guess it was just something that I was vulnerable to. Again, it's no excuse, but I really am sorry and, if I could go back..."

Stunning Bess, Nancy smiled, if a bit uncomfortably, and said, "I accept your apology."

George, just as stunned, stared at Bess as though she'd grown a second head before asking, "You? It was you Ned cheated on Nancy with?"

After a quick glance to her cousin, Bess returned her apologetic smile to Nancy to explain, "I told her that I knew Ned had cheated on you when I figured out how she really felt about you. Sorry, but she was pretty depressed. I felt bad and I wanted to give her some... some hope to hold on to."

It was Nancy's turn to nod silently, though she did understand and held no malice towards Bess. If it wasn't her, it would have been some other girl. This way, she was able to at least find out about it. Ned, obviously, was a slimy, lying jerk, the last person she would ever want to marry even if she did want that for herself.

"Actually, Nancy said to Bess, "It says a lot about you, that you would risk your reputation just to make George feel better. Not that any of our reputations will survive this town..."

With the exception of Bess, the group all looked sheepishly into their laps. The curvy blonde only laughed and suggested, "Well, it says a lot about you that you actually forgave me."

Voicing her thoughts of moments before, Nancy replied, "If it wasn't you, it would have been someone else and, really, who knows how many other girls he has cheated on me with? Besides, I believe you when you say that you never meant for it to happen. Ned and I are finished and I refuse to lose a valued friend over him."

Bess smiled happily at this, glad that Nancy was big enough to put this behind her, even if the real explanation may well have been that her mystery solving team was simply of more practical importance to her than Ned was. At the moment, that possibility didn't really matter.

"So," Bess said, her smile turning to a leer, "Now that we've gotten all that stuff out of the way, I think the four of us should have ourselves a nice lesbian orgy!"

The other three expelled a collective gasp at Bess's audacity, yet couldn't help smiling a little at the undeniable humour her opinion produced. Those smiles also carried some lustful guilt over how much fun each of them knew that lesbian orgy would be.

But their meeting wasn't over and, knowing this, Eloise addressed Bess's suggestion with, "As much fun as that would be, I'm afraid we have more to discuss."

Though Eloise looked pointedly at Nancy, the teen sleuth couldn't help but notice George's demeanor darkening again as she cleared her throat to get started.

"Yes, uhhh... So, I couldn't help but notice how we've all grown apart since we've been in Cinder Bay. I understand why. Apart from the personal problems that we've been having between us, we've also been, um, as I mentioned, soiling our reputations as proper ladies here and, quite naturally, we'd rather that the rest of us don't find out exactly what we've been getting up to. So we've been uncommunicative and secretive. This is affecting our investigation and, ultimately, it may be Susan Quinn who pays the price for this. Sooo... (Ahem) Okay, so I've had sex with the Colonel and one of his friends. Both of them at once. They fucked me while I sucked their cocks and I let them squirt their cum all over my face. And that's not all. I've been a proper little slut here and... enjoyed it. I know it was wrong, but I love to get used by men. Preferably older men. I love sucking cock and being a little whore, and I want to get used by a whole bunch of men who..."

Nancy stopped herself with a wild giggle as she blushed, then summed up with, "Well, I'm sure you get the picture. I've been a very naughty girl and I want to be even worse. So, um, now that that's out of the way, I can more truthfully tell you what all I've discovered out here pertaining to Susan Quinn and whatever may have happened to her because, as I'm sure you three will agree, it's important that we're all on the same page here. This breakdown in communication has to stop and the best way to accomplish that is to go back to being the tight, cohesive team we always were."

Almost a half hour later, Nancy felt strangely better as she finished up with her report, complete with hers and Eloise's experience in the strange subbasement. She looked expectantly at the sexy cousins and, while George continued to avoid eye contact, Bess smiled at Nancy with an odd comradery before she began her report.

"Oh my god," Nancy said with an awestruck grin after Bess had finished. "You little fuckslut!"

Bess knew it wasn't meant as an insult and, truth be told, the comment turned her on. She smiled as she openly glanced between Nancy's open thighs She was wearing blue lace and mesh panties and Bess wondered if she'd take them off if asked when Nancy looked away with a slight blush, carefully addressing George.

"So, George..." she prodded, imagining her and Bess licking each other's hot, wet snatches in the lighthouse. "Um, is there anything that you...?"

George seemed startled, this initial reaction quickly turning to a subtle defensiveness as she shrugged her shoulders, forcing a smile to say, "Not really, no."

"Uhhh... Bess doubtfully injected, expressively looking George up and down before adding, "You're sure there's nothing you want to tell us?"

George only looked at her, struggling to maintain her smile around what Nancy could see was some very real fear and paranoia before replying, "I have no idea what happened. I suppose I've just... developed."

"Sure," Bess agreed, sarcastically elaborating with, "One day you're as thin as a rake handle, and the next day you look like every man's wet dream. That happens to girls all the time."

"Bess, I don't know!" George insisted, more desperate and increasingly uncomfortable.

"Okay," Nancy broke in, mediating with, "Besides your, uh... transformation... has anything else happened that's pertinent to our investigation? Something you felt you couldn't tell us because it maybe involved some... sexual stuff that you were uncomfortable conveying?"

George thought about it, honestly searching her memory for something she could tell them that wouldn't lead them to the true extent of her newly mutated status and the seemingly unavoidable relationship building between her and Elora Sasser/Susan Quinn which had caused it. This frantic search for non-toxic answers was made more difficult by the curious stares of Nancy, Eloise and Bess and, after what seemed like an eternity, she finally managed to come up with absolutely nothing. This was conveyed with a shake of her head as she barely shrugged a shoulder.

While Bess regarded her with open disbelief, Eloise gently asked, "George, dear, can you think of anything- anything at all- that at least may have caused these... changes?"

"No, Eloise, I can't!"

Nancy, while not believing George any more than Bess did, could nevertheless see that George was becoming quite upset and felt it was time to change the subject with, "Okay, well if you don't know, you don't know. Maybe it's time we evaluated what we do know and figure out what we're doing next."

This track of conversation was an obvious relief to George and, even though Bess continued to stare with curiosity and obvious suspicion for several seconds, Nancy could see George beginning to settle now that the focus of the group wasn't polarized on her. Finally shifting her eyes from the side of her cousin's face, Bess began speaking with concerned suspicion of George left over in her tone.

"Is it possible that you two were able to somehow climb out of that pool in the subbasement and make your way back up to the basement and back here to the suite without remembering?"

"I don't see how," Nancy replied with a last, lingering glance at George. "There's no way we could even have gotten back up that passageway."

Looking to Eloise, the mature of the group agreed, stating, "It was way too slippery. Like Nancy told you, we ended up in that pool because we couldn't keep our footing in that passageway. It only got steeper, smoother and more slippery as we slid down. It would have been impossible for us to have gotten out that way without help of some kind."

"Is it possible that you found some other way out?" Bess asked further, seeming to have forgotten about George, at least for the moment.

"I don't remember," Eloise said, "but I suppose it's possible."

"But it's more likely," a grim Nancy put in, "that someone else got us out of the pool, cleaned us up and brought us back here to our suite."

"So, you were caught," Bess reasonably deducted.

With a foreboding sigh, Nancy determined, "I think we pretty much have to assume that."

"In which case," Eloise speculated, "we also have to assume that we're in trouble. They... uhh, punished us for Nancy and George being in the basement. I'm sure they'll have something to say about finding Nancy and me in that pool of... cum."

Only half seriously, Bess stated, "Turning me on doesn't help me to think, Eloise."

Even George smiled softly as the others gave up a low chuckle before Bess asked, "So, why aren't you two down in the office jumping through perverted hoops for them right now?"

"Maybe they're trying to figure out how to handle it," George offered in a careful tone. "The last punishment didn't happen right away. Miss Hildebrandt said that she and Mr. Carmody had been debating what to do about it."

"Yes," Nancy recalled, adding, "And she told us that she wanted us charged. In her mind, this would be a second offense and, given the assumedly sensitive area that we broke our way into, it's possible that the repercussions will..."

The four of them considered what Nancy implied in nervous silence before she cleared her throat, delivered a direct look to each of them and declared, "Maybe we should get out."

Her words were met by stunned silence.

"Out?" Bess finally asked. "Get out like... run?"

"Yes."

"Give up?" she asked with incredulity.

" ... Yes," Nancy affirmed. "Give up. Quit."

"I can't believe I'm hearing you say-"

"I hate to say it, but we're way past our depth here," Nancy interrupted, a little surprised at the usually cautious Bess's reaction. Not only was it out of character, but she could sense outright aversion to this plan and she watched the busty blonde closely as she continued to explain, "It's clear that there's a... a supernatural element at work here. At the very least, it's something that defies reason, something that defies our current understanding of... whatever. This is nothing like anything we've encountered before and I think we're all in agreement on that. Furthermore, we have no idea who to trust. Carmody runs this town, including Sherriff Durant and, as far as he goes, he has more legitimate reason to jail us than help us. Aside from that, I think he's involved in whatever is going on here anyway. I think everyone is with the exception of Reverend Muren. I think that people here have been lying to and playing us since we've arrived, and I find it a little coincidental that the phones are down, downright unbelievable that they're still down."

She paused, looked into her lap and sighed heavily before finishing up with, "I don't like it any more than you do, but the reality is that, even if we do find out what's going on in this town, we'll never close the case because there are no real authorities here to take over once we do. That's the reality of this case," she determined, looking pointedly at each of them as she summed up with, "There's simply nothing we can do."

"But... what about Susan Quinn!?" Bess asked, looking from Nancy to Eloise, then George before looking back to Nancy to remind, "Why, you were just telling us that we all need to be on the same page for her sake, that she's the one who's suffering from our lack of teamwork!"

"Yes, I did," Nancy agreed, briefly glancing at her aunt, the one whose original concern for Susan Quinn had brought them all to Cinder Bay to begin with. "But it won't do her any good if we all become... compromised."

"We're already compromised," Bess pointed out.

"She's right, Nancy," Eloise agreed. "All of us have... (ahem)"

"That's not what I mean," Nancy corrected, eying Bess in particular as she clarified. "Not everyone in this town was born here. People come here and get seduced into staying. They cross over. Once they do that, they're one of them. Reverend Stephens even tried recruiting you and George, tried to convince you to stay here and make a life for yourself. Meanwhile, we're all getting the runaround about Susan Quinn, little clues that add up to nothing, running around on this wild goose chase while our morality and will are being slowly compromised. It's a directed and intentional attack on us that starts with this damned hotel and continues with every citizen of this town! Getting out now so we can come back with the State Police is, at this point, the only way we have left to come together as a team and save Susan Quinn!"
