It was leather-bound just like all the rest, but had no gold letters on the spine, so she opened it and read the title, 'The Story of O'.
Caroline started to read and after a minute or two, put the book down, blushing bright pink. She picked it up again, stuffing it under her t-shirt and went to her bedroom.
She didn't leave her room all weekend, except for meals and even then found conversation difficult. She had to take it with her to the finishing school; it was going with her for sure and she was going to pass it around the other girls. What an education that would be!
