"I'm just trying to figure you out. It's mind boggling that you haven't had sex yet. I was wondering if size was a problem for you. C'mon, spill it, how big are you?"
"I haven't measure it."
"Well, how about a close estimate?"
"It's a proper size, one proportionate to my height and build."
"And that's...how big?" Danica pressed.
"Size isn't an issue, and my size is not something you need to know."
"Fine." Danica pouted. "I really wanted to know. Something tells me that you're very well equipped, but I've never seen any signs of it, and I look out for it too. Okay, so you're not gay, you jerk off, and size probably isn't an issue. Are you shy or something? Wait...no, you're a very up front kind of guy, so that's not it either."
"For the third time, the reason is none other than what I stated. I don't have the time or money."
"Maybe you're just waiting for the right opportunity...or, maybe, maybe you need to be caught with your pants down..." Danica drifted.
Aegis' eyes narrowed at her. This might turn into a real big problem, if this was leading where he thought it was going to lead to.
The next time Danica met Aegis' eyes, she was grinning. "You know...I've always wondered what it would be like to be with you. And while I'm at it..." Her voice was a whisper as she slowly snaked a hand to Aegis' thigh. "...I can find out how big you are."
Before her hand reached Aegis' thigh, he caught her hand and held it still.
Danica smiled, but Aegis spoke before she could.
"I suggest you stop right there. Use your head, you're supposed to be exclusive to Azreal."
"He's sweet, and I do love him, but, he's just so boring when it comes to sex. And besides, he doesn't have to know. It can be our little secret." She said as she tried to lean in to Aegis, but Aegis' other hand stopped her by her shoulder.
"You're drunk, just get to bed." Aegis said sternly. For right now, there was nothing he could do but accept this. There would be time later to properly resolve this issue.
"But...Azreal's probably passed out by now. Even if I wake him, he won't be able to do anything. C'mon, how about you give me one of the greatest birthday presents I could ever ask for? I'm sure that being with someone as good looking as you will be one of the best in my life."
"And I'm afraid that cannot happen. You being drunk means that you won't be able to experience it properly. Now, you wouldn't want something as measly as alcohol to spoil you're experience, would you?"
"Well...no...but..."
"When you're sober, you'll both see and think more clearly. And, most important of all, feel it clearly. Plus, you don't want me to be boring, do you? Being predictable is boring. If you want a true experience, we do this on my terms, and when I say so."
Danica's eyes fell dreamily, her mind in a trance. Although Aegis did not play games like these often, it didn't mean that he didn't know how to play them. Her being as drunk as she was also helped a lot.
"Sure...anything you want..." Danica whispered with a wide smile on her face.
"Now, let's see if you can be a good girl for a while, and when the time comes, you're going to be a very, very bad girl."
"Okay." Danica replied, still lost in her trance.
"Get to bed."
"Okay, but, what about tonight? What about right now?"
"As I just told you, we do this on my terms. I want you primed and ready for it by thinking about it all the time. That will make everything far more intense. If you can't handle it, then you don't deserve to be with me."
"But..."
"But a strong girl like you won't give up, will you? You showed that by making the first move. You've waited this long already, what's a day or two more? Or maybe more if you're a bad girl. You can only be a bad girl if I say so."
"Okay...anything you say...bed right? Can I, can I at least satisfy myself?"
"Yes you may. You need your sleep, and you are going to need your rest when our time comes."
"Okay...goodnight Aegis." Danica said in a daze as she headed off to the bedroom.
Aegis, to avoid any further incidents for the night, slept on the couch.
Aegis, as usual, appeared to be the first one to awaken when he opened his eyes. Good, it meant that no one would know that Aegis had slept on the couch, and more importantly, why.
Danica could no longer be trusted. Even if she was so drunk she wasn't thinking straight, somewhere, deep down, that part of her existed. Alcohol did not create new beliefs, it merely brought the buried ones to the surface. The skeletons that everyone has deep in their own minds.
But, it was meaningless if only he knew about it. He had to prove it to Azreal, and the sooner, the better.
For the moment, he had to put all of that aside. It was time to cook breakfast, for he didn't have much time before he had to change, clean himself up, and get to work.
Aegis didn't whip up anything fancy, just some scrambled eggs and bacon, and prepared the table for when everyone emerged. As he did he planned his next move.
Today, Aegis braided his hair as he waited outside for Danica to emerge, knowing that her day should be done soon. Currently, he was across the street from the restaurant, wearing a hat and heavy jacket to disguise himself, knowing that Danica has not and would not recognized him from this distance, especially since so many other individuals were walking the streets at this time of day as almost everyone else would be leaving work at this time as well as Danica.
Ever since Danica's birthday, and the incident that had taken place, Aegis had been spying on her just as he had spied on Angelus and Azreal in the past. If there was anything that Aegis did well, he could somehow become invisible and unrecognizable, despite his height and long black hair.
In most cases, Aegis used his long black hair to his advantage, by either braiding his hair, tying it into a ponytail, sticking as much of it under his hat as possible, whatever it took. On top of that, simple items like a pair of sunglasses and a hat also helped, and most of all, he kept his distance, for the most part.
Over the past few weeks, Aegis had taken the time to note Danica's behavior patterns, locations she frequented, routes she took, and so on. Danica, like any other person in the world, was a creature of habit, and her patterns were just as predictable as any other.
He also took the time once a week to acquire her working hours, since they were different week to week, using his relationship with Azreal as an excuse. Since the schedule was displayed with all of the employee's working hours on the same board, no one yet has realized that Aegis had been noting Danica's schedule rather than Azreal's.
Although both Angelus and Azreal had noticed Aegis' frequent disappearances, they haven't been able to question it much since Aegis stonewalled them. And since Aegis still came home every night and did his part with the apartment, neither Angelus nor Azreal pressed on what Aegis was doing.
Currently, he was waiting, holding his book up high and close to his face, as though he had trouble reading, and kept an eye on the front exit by looking over top of the book. His eyes glanced up at the entrance as he read until Danica emerged, then his eyes locked on to her.
Right behind her was the same coworker who had been frequently accompanying her outside, whose name was Cameron, and the two of them were talking. Cameron was a taller individual, though not as tall as Aegis, and appeared to be a bit of an older individual, and was carrying a bag on his left shoulder. This was the key that Aegis was focusing his efforts on. Currently, aside from Azreal or when she is home, this is the person that she hangs around the most.
But, Aegis has yet to see physical evidence of any kind, and no signs of any sort of affection, so there was no reason to jump to conclusions at this time.
He watched as they began walking together toward Danica's.
Since Aegis knew the route to Danica's home, he allowed them a half a block to a full block lead on him before he turned and silently began following them while still pretending to be reading though now he kept the book at chest level, allowing him full vision as he walked.
He followed them for a single block where they turned left, which Aegis knew would be followed by an immediate right at the next block. He accepted that he would lose vision of them during spans of time, but they were moving at Danica's speed, which Aegis could easily maintain his distance with.
When he made that immediate right, and they came into view again, Aegis noticed that they were now holding hands. But, that didn't confirm anything, and if Aegis was going to present something to Azreal, it needed to be far more conclusive than her holding hands with someone.
Aegis continued to tail them for three more blocks, another turn to the left, two more blocks, a turn to the right, then straight two more blocks which lead to one of the housing areas of Pirus.
The houses were stacked closely together, brick structures that were so close together that one could stand in between them and touch two different houses. Danica lived on the third one on the right from the direction they were currently going in, and Aegis watched both Cameron and Danica enter the house together, still holding hands.
For now, he would have to wait and watch the house and see if Danica and Cameron go out for the night. Good thing food places were nearby, since this would be a couple hour wait.
The wait paid off, though it took almost two and a half hours. On the positive side, this gave Aegis time to change his hairstyle once again. This time, he tucked most of it under his hat, except for a small wall of hair which was now arranged to drape over his face, but not much farther down. The sun was long set, and the night life of Pirus began to come around. When Danica and Cameron emerged, Aegis noticed that both of them were well dressed. Danica was wearing a strapless dress, while Cameron was wearing a collared shirt with dress pants.
Since Aegis didn't know where they were going, and since the sunlight was gone, Aegis had to follow them more closely. At the same time though, the darkness would help him get close, and he would be able to hear their conversations once he was close enough.
Aegis perked his ears up once he got in close.
Danica was shaking her head. "...just some people. I swear, the entire time, that old pervert was staring at my ass at every chance he got."
"No offense Danica, but you do have a cute ass."
Danica giggled. "Thanks. But, it's for hot guys to stare at, not some old perv who probably couldn't even get it up in the first place. I like knowing that I drive good looking men crazy with my butt, especially since they can only see and not touch."
"What about me?" Cameron asked, and Danica turned to him with a smile.
"Especially you. But, maybe, if you play your cards right, you just might get the chance to do more than just stare."
"I look forward to it. I've got some ideas on what I want to do with such a fine ass." Cameron said as he bent over and blatantly stared at Danica's butt, which Danica wiggled for his benefit.
Cameron sighed. "This is going to be a long night, but it'll be worth it."
"It better be. You're not the only one I'm teasing over here."
"You don't need to worry Danica. By the time I'm done with you, you won't be able to stand."
"Sounds good to me. Anyway, what about you? Ever get hit on by old or ugly women?"
Aegis continued to listen to their conversations as the walked, filled with heavy flirting and promises of the end of the night. Unfortunately, this still wasn't enough. Aegis needed something that Azreal could see and absorb, regardless of how painful it might be for him. But, Aegis had a feeling that unmistakable proof of her infidelity would come soon. Especially if alcohol is involved.
He continued to follow them, listening to little more than heavy flirting and random stories. The walk itself wasn't long. They went back the way they came for one block, then took a right instead of the left that would lead back to the restaurant. There, they walked three more blocks before arriving at a modest but crowded pub, with plenty of individuals hanging around in groups on the outside. Most had a glass in their hand, and quite a few were smoking.
Since it wasn't that far into the night, so far most of the crowd on the outside were more calm and relaxed rather than appearing drunk. That wouldn't come until a couple of hours or so (aside from a few exceptions, and were looking to get drunk as quickly as possible).
Aegis followed them a few minutes after they walked in. And surprisingly, Aegis thought that the place honestly looked nice, and could see why it was so crowded.
Darts, table tennis, pool tables, this place had quite a few popular forms of entertainment. The long bar was full, and there were a number of tables scattered around. Danica and Cameron had sat down in one of the tables, nearby the dart boards, watching a match that others were in the middle of.
Aegis went over to the bar, ordered a heidberger, and stood near the pool tables. From his angle, both the pool tables, and, more importantly, Danica and Cameron, were within sight. As he pretended to watch others play pool, he kept his eye and Danica and Cameron. If Aegis was right, he was going to need to hear what they're talking about. He'll be able to see it with his two eyes, and that will be the proof he will need.
It took about an hour for this to happen, and the two of them started to become physically intimate once they got their first few drinks. Now having all of the proof he needed, the next step was to get Azreal to see it for himself.
Azreal knew better than to ask Angelus about it. But, he had been saving the idea and keeping it himself for over a little over a month now.
Aegis was out again, and Danica went home today, electing to not come over. She seemed to be doing that more and more recently, but not much longer. Not once he asked her.
And so, that left Azreal and Angelus, who were quietly drinking together. This was also something that was happening more and more recently. For some reason, Angelus simply did not like Danica, which has caused a growing rift between the two. Sure, they still hang out, live under the same roof and so on, they just seemed to be growing apart more and more as the days go by.
"I'm going to propose to Danica on New Year's." Azreal announced.
Angelus spat out his drink in response.
"Thanks, dick." Azreal replied.
"Seriously? You're gonna try to marry her? You know what, knock yourself out. Good luck." Angelus replied, downing the remainder of his glass since he just spat out quite a bit.
"You don't like the idea at all, do you? Just what exactly is your problem with her man?"
Angelus sighed. "I keep telling you, I just don't trust her. She doesn't seem half as invested in this thing as you are. She'll probably say yes just because she thinks the idea is cute, but not something to take seriously. She's either an airhead, or is playing with you."
"That's sounds like something Aegis would say rather than you. And just what exactly has she done to make you not trust her?"
"What has she done to make me trust her?"
Azreal shrugged, making a disgusted face as he did so. "What!?"
"She never offers to do anything, she's never bothered to hold any sort of surprise party for you. She doesn't massage your feet, and she doesn't really bother with Aegis or myself. If it weren't the fact that you were sleeping together, I would say your 'relationship' is more like master and slave."
"Fuck you Angelus!"
"Am I wrong!?" Angelus shouted as he rose to his feet. As he did, the door opened, and Aegis stepped through.
"Keep it down, I could your shouting through the door." Aegis said as he closed the door behind him.
"Fuck you Aegis. Azreal's planning to be a dumbass and try to marry Danica. If he goes through with it, I'm gone."
"No Angelus! You don't have to worry about that at all! Danica and I will find our own place, together!" Azreal said as he stood.
"Enough, both of you!" Aegis firmly spoke.
The air remained thick with tension for a few moments before the standoff ended.
Aegis turned to Azreal. "Although you may not appreciate this, this is a good time for something I have to show you. Or rather, a really bad time."
Azreal blinked. "Huh?"
"Does this have something to do with why you've been going out all the time?" Angelus asked.
"It does."
"Then I'm coming too, I want to see what the fuck you've been up to."
"No. This is for Azreal only. You'll hear about it afterward."
"Why the fuck is it so important for Azreal to see it?"
"You'll understand once you hear the full story, now quiet. Azreal, let's go." Aegis said, turning and opening the door behind him once again.
Angelus rolled his eyes. "Tch, whatever. Have fun."
'Fucking dick.' Azreal thought to himself, shrugging as he turned to follow Aegis into the hallway and down the stairs.
"So, what's going on? What have you been up to?"
"Investigating. I won't say anything more. It's best if you just see it for yourself."
"You said this was a bad time. Does this have something to do with Danica?" Azreal asked.
Aegis remained silent.
"It does, doesn't it?" Azreal pressed.
Again, Aegis did not answer.
"What the fuck have you been doing to Danica!? Have you been stalking her or scaring her or something!? Is that why she won't fucking hang out with me like she used to!?"
Aegis stopped in mid step and turned to Azreal, a rare fury in his eyes that caused Azreal to jump back and almost lose his footing on the staircase.
"Do you really think I'd resort to such tactics?" Aegis asked in a low and dangerous voice.
Azreal participated in his second standoff of the night, but this one ended much quicker than his standoff with Angelus, since Azreal knew he was wrong here. Aegis was a lot of things, but he was also straight. Aegis wouldn't purposefully try to sabotage his relationship with Danica.
"Sorry." Azreal said, his voice soft and quiet.
Aegis turned and began walking down the stairs.
"So, can you tell me where we're going at least?" Azreal asked.
"A relatively nice place called 'Panthers'."
"Panther's? I've heard of the place before, and I did hear that it was nice, but I haven't been there yet. It just opened last month or something. But, why there?"
Aegis remained silent. Azreal sighed. "Whatever." Despite how ridiculous this venture into the night might be as they stepped outside, Azreal knew that whatever this was, it was important. He had trusted Aegis for this long, and probably will trust him for the rest of his life, unlike Angelus, who was a miserable ass.
"So, how do you feel about my idea of proposing to Danica?"
To Azreal's annoyance, again Aegis did not answer.
"Can't you talk about anything at all? Is your fucking shoe size a secret too?"
"Just be patient. And I hope you'll forgive me for what I'm about to do to you."
That caught Azreal's attention. "W-what?" Azreal asked.
"You'll understand once we get there."
The remainder of the walk was uncomfortably silent for Azreal, who did not what Aegis had said. Azreal instead began piecing together what he knew in his head. By the time they had arrived, Azreal had arrived at a couple of conclusions, and not one of them were pleasant.
