She pulled the plug from the drain and allowed the water to drain out around her, until she was left like a seal on a beach, a hairless white seal., covered in a fine coat of shorn hair. Sofia stood and turned on the shower to rinse all that remained of her hair down the drain. She slowly climbed from the tub and without looking went to her bed and laid there still wet and cried herself into sleep.
