"This night was better than I could have imagined," she said, ducking her head down to peck at my lips. "Thank you."
I kissed her nose and brought my forehead to hers. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
She slid off of me, our bodies still sweaty, but keeping an arm and a leg wrapped over me. I brought my face to hers and kissed her again, a slow, lingering kiss. Tomorrow, we were going to wake up, facing an uncertain new part of our lives. But tonight, I was content to drift back to sleep in her arms.
