I shrugged. "If my people needed them, I doubt my dad or Tich would have put them on the list. I'm not going to pretend like we're not hoping for a long lasting relationship between our two peoples, because we absolutely are. Mezotis 3 and Mezotis 4 give you a massive amount of space to grow, and the best thing about the two planets is that they are close enough to connect a portal between the two, allowing for quick and convenient travel between them."

"You've given us something to think about. Would you mind stepping outside the room so we can confer?" Bonakr asked.

"Sure," I answered, handing the tablet to Selalea. "There is more information on the tablet, including detailed plans of how we'll be transporting the eggs, if you agree."

I made my way to the large doors, which opened as I approached. When I was in the hall, I took a seat on a bench up against the wall. 'Might as well take a look at my friends abilities,' I thought, taking my phone out of my inventory. I went to open the app and got an error screen, which made me realize that I had no internet. "Damn it," I said to myself.

"Problem?" a female voice to my right said.

I looked up to see a young woman walking down the hall towards the council chamber. Based on her clothing, and her hair color, she was clearly a Chromatic dragon.

"Not really," I replied. "I just forgot that internet usually doesn't work when deep underground."

"It works down here, you just need access to it. You're Jonathan, right? My mother told me she was meeting with a Scyftan this afternoon."

"That's me. I assume Shaemu is your mother?"

"Yup. My name is Shilei," she said, offering her hand.

I accepted her handshake. "Nice to meet you, Shilei."

"So why are you waiting out here?" she asked after taking a seat next to me. "Shouldn't you be in there giving some sort of presentation?"

"I already have, for the most part. They asked me to step outside so they could confer."

"Ah. You may be waiting out here for a while, depending on how divisive your presentation was, then. They can debate for hours before finally voting on something."

"I didn't get the sense that they were divided at all, when I was in there. In fact, Bonanem was told that he would be ejected from the council chamber if he couldn't be cordial. Olmith said they had enough votes to pass my proposal, with or without him."

"That sounds like Bonanem, alright. So what was the proposal, anyways? My mother didn't go into any detail."

"I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose that. I don't know if it was a secret or not, or if they are waiting to make an announcement." I said.

"It isn't a secret, young Jonathan," I heard from my left. "You may tell Shilei about your proposal."

"Cool, thanks, Tolgath. So what is it?" Shilei asked.

"My people have the ability to transport your people to another world quickly and safely. In less than a month, we could have all of your eggs and accompanying dragons and dragonkin transported to a new home, or, potentially, two homes."

"Really?!" she exclaimed. "You're saying that my siblings could start hatching in a few months?

"Well, I don't know about that. The requirement in return is your people will help crew ships that are currently enroute to Earth. Maybe in six months or so, eggs could begin hatching. I have no idea."

"That's amazing! The younger crowd had been pushing the council to devote more research into spacecraft. I wish we had known about your peoples' capabilities sooner."

"Well, it's a more recent thing, actually. I recently came into possession of the most advanced ship in our galaxy. She will be the one transporting your people to your new planet, or planets."

"She?"

I nodded. "Long ago, my people discovered these strange crystals. When they were shown to my great grandfather, one bonded with him, and began growing into a ship. Since then, one has always been bonded to a member of my family. I bonded with Abi a few days ago."

"Interesting. You said planet, or planets.. what did you mean by that?"

"My dad and another Scyftan put together a list of suitable planets for your people. There seems to be two frontrunners. The first is a planet called Gnara 3. It is roughly four times the size of Earth, and has a wide variety of life, with many specimens being quite large. The other is actually something that is incredibly rare in the universe. A set of two planets that orbit each other, as well as a star. They are currently named Mezotis 3 and Mezotis 4. Both are around four point three times the size of Earth, and each has wildly different life that has evolved with it. I think my dad and others are hoping that your people choose the two planets, rather than the one."

"Two planets, really?"

"Mhmm. I'm not sure how your peoples' portal technology works, but the planets are close enough that Scyftans could open up a portal and go from one planet to another, just like that," I said with a snap of my fingers. "It's actually within Scyftan space. Fortunately for your people, a war broke out that resulted in the planets not being colonized as of yet."

"Your people are at war? Why are you here on Earth and not helping fight it?"

"The current leader is not the rightful ruler of my people. He had my parents murdered, and tried to murder me as well. He probably would have tried to have my sisters murdered as well, had he known about them. The resulting coup forced us to flee Scyftan space. We've been hiding on Earth, biding our time since. In about six months, hopefully with the aid of your people, we'll be on our way to Scyftan space to depose the current ruler."

At that moment, the large doors opened again, drawing our attention over to them. Selalea stood there. "Jonathan, you can come back in, now. We've made a decision. Hello, Shilei. You can come in as well, if you wish. Keep quiet, though."

I got up and followed Selalea back into the chamber, with Shilei following me. Walking around the table, I stood behind the chair I had been sitting in earlier. Selalea and all the other council members were standing as well.

"Jonuth Kidravia, the council has voted unanimously to accept your proposal. We would like Selalea to accompany you as our liaison so we can begin preparations. Shortly after this meeting concludes, we will be making our announcement."

"That's great news! Which option did you end up choosing?" I asked.

"That should be quite obvious, Jonathan," Selalea said with a chuckle. "Two planets is better than one."

"I think some people will be happy to hear that."

"Well, we should get going. I would like to pick up my son, and get started as soon as possible," Selalea said.

I said farewell to the rest of the council, promising to bring Abi by soon so they could see her. I said goodbye to Shilei, as well, and we exited the council chamber, followed by Selalea's two dragonkin guards. We went back through the portal we had arrived from, and then continued on to the blue dragon city. Once there, we made our way to a restaurant we had passed earlier in the day, where her son, and a number of her guards, were eating.

"The council approved. We'll be heading back with Jonathan as soon as you're all done eating," she told the assembled dragons, as she knelt beside her son. "Did you have fun while I was busy working?"

He nodded. "Blue dragons showed me how to fish! I caught a fish this big!" he said, holding his hands as far apart as he could.

"Good job," she congratulated, ruffling his hair. "Blue dragons are very good swimmers, aren't they?"

He nodded, and went back to eating his food. Selalea stood back up and turned to me.

"Will bringing my son, and eighteen more dragons be an issue?" she asked.

"I don't think so. Let me make sure."

I reached out with my mind and initiated a connection to my mom, dad, and Tich.

[I have good news. They approved!]

[That's great!] my dad replied. [Which planet did they pick?]

[I think you already know. There is no way they were going to pass up on Mezotis 3 and 4. It also helped that many of the planets were too small, or had gravity that was too high.]

[Mezotis 3 and 4, huh?] my mom said. [I didn't even think about those. They were big news when they were discovered, and I'm very surprised they aren't colonized.]

[They were actually planned to be colonized around eight hundred years ago, but the war with The Confederation has put that off. No one is living on them, at least to Thomas' knowledge,] Tich replied.

[So I contacted you all because the council wants to get started as soon as possible. They would like Selalea to be their liaison. I need to know if I can bring her and nineteen more dragons, including her son.]

[Sure. That's no problem,] my mom said. [I'll meet you at Lehua in thirty minutes?]

"Thirty minutes at Lehua?" I asked Selalea.

"That's fine," she said, turning to the other dragons.

[Works for us. We'll see you then.]

[Alright, I'll be waiting.]

"Alright, we're all ready. Let's go," Selalea said, leading us towards the underwater exit.
