.... Orphans, matched with some of those colonists lost their children to the Kirrix, ... I wonder, .... how many (what percentage) of those adults that are missing their kids would be good parents for the orphaned kids? might it be 50%, 33%, less or more? ... the trauma might be too much and too soon for some of them, .... others might need boys when they lost girls, or vice-versa, ... some might want an exact replacement (age, sex and school grades) and resent anything less, .... This was a nice thought, but it is filled with problems for the parents and especially for the kids, .... but it might work for some few that would be willing to go to an Outer Rim world, ... the problem of making a good adult to kid(s) match is the big stumbling block, ... hard, but not impossible, if you just had a Faye class computer (AI) to help you, ... The Galactic League needs a bunch of 'good' AI's to help them out, no more Black Ops, crazy and killer, intelligent computers, they're no fun, ... ;-) ttfn
So, several colonies had many parents lose their kids to the Bugs. Meanwhile, Alyssa has been investing tons of their money and using the profits to fund orphanages. Anyone see the synergy here? I'll spell it out. How about placing the orphans with deserving parents who lost their kids?
