"I didn't want to take away from the girls' preparations and their special day. But I was glad when Sujesh said this second storey would be easy – we're going to need the room."
I put my hand to his face, tracing his tears.
"Come to bed," I said. "I still want to make the most of us being alone for a while."
He smiled, and followed me.
