It had been a week since Ellie had received her strange powers, and even though she used it every once in while, nothing interesting happened to her since Ceira had asked for help to prank her ex-friend Jane. Monday morning Ellie walked to school like she always did, except more glum. Just before the lesson started Ellie noticed another crowd. This one was much bigger. It looked to Ellie as if the whole school had gathered here. She watched and watched as did hundreds of other students, as Ceira dangled silently screaming. Ellie didn't want to get involved, but this was too much. Ellie stopped time. After a few minutes of looking around the school storage room, she found a ladder long enough to get up to Ceira. Ellie didn't have the key to get to the top floor, and there definitely wasn't a 10 story ladder available so one by one she scaled the different school blocks, getting further and further up the building.

As she climbed up the main bock she wondered what would happen if she died in her Freeze world. Would everything rewind, or even scarier would everything just cease to exist.

She shook of that terrifying thought and managed to reach the top. Luckily gravity wasn't a factor to Ceira so pulling her back up was light work.

Still in stopped time Ellie took Ceira to the empty gym and put on some spare gym clothes. She walked back to the front of the school where she previously stood and Un-Freezed.

After the "critical safety risk" the school sent everyone home early. It was traumatising after all to see Ceira in such a dangerous situation. Ellie almost threw up thinking about it. As she got back home she went straight to bed and realised that if she didn't have her power Ceira might of died. Ellie went from seeing her power as a gift, to wishing nobody had it if it caused things like this. "I have to stay away from Jane".
