Click hereCydonian was frankly in awe of the efficiency and elegance in which Hage took care of his mission, even using some liquid supposedly to make them tell the truth.
"Desummon Hage."
Hage's body deconstructed and spread out and melded with the grass and dirt beneath him.
Cydonian walked up to the two men who were still tied up.
"Why did you attack me?"
The man on the left said, "A woman came, talking about the horrors of a man named Cydonian".
The man on the right said, "She also said that she watched you kill Dormunga. How dare you speak her name to us"
Cydonian understood. He completely forgot about Maria because he was stunned to see a real Goddess. The whole town knows. He could hear the people on the other side of the bridge moving around yelling commands. They must have seen the fight. They have been preparing this entire time and he didn't even notice! He needs to get used to being in a whole world, instead of just a screen. He saw archers preparing their bows. They weren't attacking yet, but he knew he didn't have time keep questioning these men. The town seemed to be like a small city. It was pretty big with big walls, and obviously an army. What type of summon could fight a whole army, or city?
"Helvete maybe?" thought Cydonian. It was the first summon that comes to mind because it is known for having great AOE, or area of effect, damage capabilities. He didn't care about this city. He was Cydonian! HE shouldn't have to hide! Was he really ready to kill thousands?
"This isn't Earth! There are no police or rules that bind me. In this world I am stronger than a God. Why should I have to be an adventurer and work or be a blacksmith? I could take over the world with my power!" Cydonian declared in his head.
"Summon", he yelled, "HELVETE!!"
The sky started to darken. Not from clouds, but from ash. He could see far in the sky a light. He knew he was about to see in his real life the true power of Helvete, an Afrit! Afrits are infernal Djinns that lay waste to lands whenever someone wishes for something that the Djinn doesn't want to give. 99% of the time, they didn't want to give it, because they were quite selfish, but humans still venture out to find one and hope their wish would come true. Djinns were compelled to grants wishes, but the Afrits' logic is that, they don't have to grant the wish if they kill the person and everyone else who witnessed it. This was also used to be one of the strongest bosses in the previous expansions, but after the new expansion came out and everyone out leveled it, it became able to be enthralled.
Flying from the sky was a ball of black flames the size of a skyscraper. It landed on the wall where the archers were standing, near the bridge. Cydonian jumped back a few hundred yards as he watched in awe as the ball landed. The wall was instantly destroyed black flames were consuming everything. They were able to melt the surrounding wall. Then, Helvete stood out of the wreckage, the height of a skyscraper. He had all black skin and he wore nothing but long white pants that people on earth would call hammer pants. His face was all black with no hair on his head. There were two white horns curving around his head like a crown. He smiled at Cydonian for a second baring no teeth, his mouth suddenly filled black flames and he shot them everywhere on to the city. The sounds of the loudest screams filled the air as Cydonian stared at the beauty of Helvete's destruction. Helvete doesn't need instructions because he only does one thing. Lay waste to the land around him. He breathed his flames in a semi-circle torching the buildings. He stomped on buildings and everything that touched his skin started to melt. In the distance, Cydonian could see a tall building on a hill, inside the city walls. Helvete's long arms reached for it, putting his hands around the building and crushed it in his hand. Cydonian could not see what was coming out of the building, but he saw the building start to melt.
Cydonian knew Helvete could decimate on a large scale, but to see him in real life and notice how tall he is was unnerving. He was kind of scared of Helvete.
"But I have plenty of summons that could handle him if need be," thought Cydonian,
Helvete started to laugh. Most of the city was melted down to lava, but a few structures still stood. Helvete dug both of his giant hands into the ground. His entire hand seemed to disappear into the ground, and they reemerged with this magma-like substance that he threw onto the remaining structures. It was over and there were no bodies or wreckage in sight. All there was a skyscraper of a monster in a pit of lava that was slowly making the pit bigger and bigger as it melted the very ground beneath him.
Helvete finally satisfied with the destruction of everything around him, took one big step and sat down near Cydonian, making the ground shake intensely.
"Where next?" he said in a very deep voice. Little flames danced out of his mouth as he said it, but thankfully they dissipated quickly.
Cydonian was surprised he seemed so submissive, considering this monster was towering over him, but it made sense because summons just did exactly what you told them to do in Endless War. He just expected a little disobedience considering all he has summoned seemed to have different and unique personalities on top of them listening to orders.
"Desummon Helvete!" He said.
He disappeared in a black puff of smoke, and weirdly enough the lava on the remains of what probably was a vibrant city also disappeared.
"Now what? Take over the world? I can do whatever I want and no one can stop me! So, I wanna get fucking laid! Jesus, I'm aching for that snowlass' pussy again." He thought aloud as he looked around to see a couple of intact roads leading into the woods, "Oh shit, was SHE in that city too? I really need to stop with the mass murders before thinking."
At first I was interested in this story. But with the lack of empathy from your hero I'm losing interest. I will say that I agree that not all heroes are saints. But your hero seems to be nothing more than a cold-hearted murderer. Who originally was just a gamer fan boy. Who is now on nothing more than a power trip.
Enjoying this story so far, i personally would like to see longer installments but nonetheless, well done.
You should have called Cydonian Hitler or Stalin, much more appropriate for the behaviour of your hero.
