There wasn't much more he could tell us and after a final play with Rebecca, he left.
I walked him to his car and shook his hand. I could tell that he was still in love with Kay, which was a little disturbing, but in a way, he was as much a victim of Stephen's manipulation as Kay was. I think he hoped I was going to say that we'd keep in touch, but I wasn't going to go that far.
He got in his car and drove off in a cloud of dust, which slowly settled onto the grapevines.

Anonymous2 days agoHad she not been pregnant, I think even this wimp probably dumps her ass. As many have said in comments, she was engaging in rampant sex with Nigel with the single exception of vaginal penetration. She was blatantly cheating for months with the guy. And the drugs excuse was lame as hell. She knew what she was doing…she admitted to seeking it out!

I noticed Kay said, "...We 69'd a couple of times, but he only ever came on me, not in me."
--- so I'm wondering, Nigel only came ON her, AFTER he'd fucked her and pulled out?
And repeatedly saying that she only loved him, doesn't exclude a lot of nefarious activities.
Anonymous23 days agoSecond read, still really like the story. Totally unreasonable and convoluted reasoning/justifications, but fun and interesting to read. She was definitely and undeniably cheating and being blatantly dishonest, and I'm not sure I'd take her back.... 'kept the baby and all.... MC was a bit of a weepy coward, but I guess that was best for this particular story to play out. Well done.
Toreadornot3 months agoI enjoyed the twists and turns. As in any story ie “February Sucks”, There are as many endings as there are readers who want a certain outcome.
