Twins: Sports, Sex & Trouble Ch. 08

"It's over, Jane."

"Oh Jimmy. I've never been so scared in my life."

The twins hugged and cried. Jimmy kept his eye on Evan ready to react if he tried anything.

Jane turned to Jo and said,

"Thank you Jo. You saved my life. Let's call the police and have him arrested."

"Don't you two want him dead?"

"YES!" said jimmy. "Jail would be too good for this bastard."

Joan said, "We have the perfect scenario to deliver the punishment Evan deserves. If we let nature take its course the world will be rid of this monster. This way we won't have to worry about some slick lawyer getting him off on a technicality."

Jo looked to Jimmy and Jane. They were following along.

"Jane, how badly hurt are you?"

Jane didn't respond. She looked down at her bloody body. She hurt. She hurt all over. Jo went up to Jane. She examined her body.

"Jane, these cuts are not deep. Most have already stopped bleeding. Evan cut you to scare you and to make you bleed. The cuts were not meant to kill you. If you have to go to the hospital, the police will be involved, but if we can give you the care you need at home, Evan dies today."

Jo continued, "If we call the police, Jane will have to tell the police, the lawyers and then in court tell everyone, all the horrible things Evan did. She will re-live this tragedy every time she tells the story. Jimmy, we don't have to put her through that. We could let nature takes its course. Evan's been given a death sentence . . . ."

"What do you mean?" Jimmy interrupted.

"People recover from snake bites if they get the proper care and get the antivenin quick enough. What if I were to stay here and make sure Evan received no care? He will die. Once he's dead, I will go to the police and tell them Evan and I were in the woods and he was bitten by a rattlesnake. He was too big for me to carry him out. I went for help, but got lost in the woods. By the time I found my way to help, it was too late to save Evan."

Jo said, "Evan will get the punishment he deserves. He will never have a chance to hurt anyone else again. So Jane, do you need to go to the hospital?"

Jane looked at her battered and bruised body and said,

"No. My injuries look worse than they are. I don't need the hospital. I need my brother and my home." Jane broke down and cried again. Jimmy hugged her tight.
