Smiling softly, Cullen couldn't help but warm up to her immediately. "I noticed. It is nice to meet you. I didn't expect Angel to tell you much about me."

Laughing just slightly, Isobel answered with, "Angel and I share everything Cullen. We never kept secrets from one another and we don't plan on starting anytime soon."

"So when you said you have heard a great deal about me...did you mean..."

Isobel interrupted, "About your secret? Yes," smiling softly, "I know of your secret. But before you get all too nervous or scared, you should know that your secret is safe with me. Now that there might be something between you two, there is no way I would ever place my sister in danger. So you can relax. I think it may have helped Angel to deal with everything by talking to me," Isobel remarked, while shrugging her shoulders. "But I must say, you're not the complete arrogant ass that she pictured you to be."

Cullen couldn't help but laugh. "Thank you...I think." Cullen couldn't help but notice how different both Angel's and Isobel's personalities were. Where Angel was more reserved and closed up, it seemed that Isobel was more open about her feelings.

Angel all this time was upstairs, listening to her sister and Cullen. She was so nervous. Should she go back and change into something completely different? After scolding herself for being so damn ridiculous, Angel took a deep breath, and began to descend down the stairs. Both Isobel and Cullen stopped talking and turned to look her way, but Angel gaze was only focused on Cullen.

Cullen couldn't believe it was possible for Angel to look even more beautiful. The skirt accentuated Angel's curves perfectly. Cullen couldn't help but let his gaze drift from her long toned legs, to her full curvaceous hips, to her narrow waist, and finally to her beautiful chest—which he was able to guess would be more than a handful. Cullen couldn't help but allow his gaze to linger there for a moment longer, before lifting his gaze to her eyes. My god, her eyes get even more beautiful. Without thinking, Cullen walked over to Angel, and lifted her hand to his lips. "Angel, you look amazingly beautiful," Cullen whispered softly.

Angel couldn't stop the blush from appearing on her cheeks. "Thank you Cullen. And you too, look really handsome," Angel responded back.

Cullen didn't realize how greatly he needed to hear her say those words. He really did hope that she would like how he appeared. "Shall we?" Cullen asked, while holding out his arm for Angel.

Angel nodded her head, while taking his offered arm. She turned her head to look at Isobel and told her goodnight. Isobel on the other hand, actually went and followed them to the door so that she would be able to lock it afterwards.

As they both stepped outside, Cullen turned toward Isobel and said, "It was a pleasure meeting you Isobel. Hope to see you again."

Smiling, "It was nice to meet you too Cullen. Now both of you have a great evening," now Isobel leaned in slightly so that Cullen would only hear her, "and Cullen? If you hurt Angel in anyway, you better bet your ass that I will make you a eunuch," Isobel said, while looking at Cullen with a sweet smile, but promising eyes.

Cullen was completely shocked at hearing this from Isobel. His first impression of Isobel was that she was a sweet natured, bubbly type of a girl. Maybe he was wrong in thinking that both of them had different personalities. Perhaps they were more similar then he originally thought. It was going to be very interesting trying to figure them both out even more. Cullen led Angel to his car, where he helped her get in and shut the door for her. He walked around to his side, where he got in and started the ignition.

Once they pulled out and were a couple blocks from home, Angel couldn't help but ask, "So where are we going to have dinner?" Angel has been pondering this all night. It was obvious that Cullen preferred more expensive restaurants' and now knowing what he was, most likely it would have to have something to do with red meat.

Stealing a glance over at Angel while he was driving, Cullen couldn't help but smile, "You will see when we get there." He then turned back to paying attention to the road. It was hard enough to do that with Angel looking how she was at this very moment. What he wouldn't give to just take her back to his bed and show her how much he has wanted her. Shaking his head slightly, Cullen knew that he shouldn't be thinking of such things right now, or they would never make it to dinner.

Without a moment to late, Cullen soon was pulling up to another restaurant that he liked. This restaurant too was owned by another were—panther to be exact. Cullen made sure to call ahead and notify the owner, a good friend of his that he would like to have a table for two somewhere where they may have complete privacy. When Cullen turned off the ignition, he walked around to open the door for Angel, and helped her out of the car. He couldn't help but stare at her legs when she slid out, seeing her skirt rise just slightly. Taking her arm, he led the way to the entrance, where the hostess greeted both of them cheerfully, and showed them to their table.

Once seated, Angel couldn't help but look around. While this restaurant wasn't as grand as Cullen's, Angel still was able to realize how very beautiful and luxurious it was decorated. Soon the waiter came to the table and suggested a wine and also told both of them the specials for the evening. While he listed a few selective choices, Angel couldn't stop staring at Cullen. Something about him, really just drew her in, and frighteningly she wanted so much more.

Angel and Cullen both placed their orders, and once the waiter left, Angel was all the sudden the primary focus of Cullen. His eyes were so intense, as if his hunger had completely nothing to do with the food, but rather with her. Squirming slightly in her seat, Angel knew she had to compose herself. "So Cullen, umm...where should we start? But first, I actually want to apologize for telling my sister about you and your secret. I just had to talk to someone about it, and I knew my sister would never tell a soul."

Nodding, "I know Angel, and there is nothing for you to apologize for," Cullen replied while continuing, "Besides, it was quite a surprise to find out that you were a twin. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Cullen, we didn't quite get the chance to tell each other more about ourselves and our families," Angel couldn't help but answer while smiling. "But that is why we are having this dinner...to get to know one another better...right?"

"Absolutely Angel, and again, I actually want to apologize for acting the way I did. I suppose you were slightly right by calling me an ass." Cullen chuckled at the memory of Angel standing up to him.

Shrugging, Angel couldn't help but say, "Well, I am not really easy to get along with Cullen. As I am sure you were able to deduce, I am quite stubborn, strong-willed, outspoken and my pride does get in the way more times than I would like to admit. And also, my family and friends can easily tell you that I have an inner-monologue problem." Smiling, Angel added, "I do have a lot of faults, I guess you could say."

Shaking his head, Cullen began to say, "No Angel. Not faults. They are just the characteristics that make you unique...even more special."

Angel looked down at the table, feeling the blush rising upon her cheeks once again. She wished she wouldn't blush like some dim-witted pre-teen going out on her first date.

Cullen reached over placing a finger under her chin, and made her look back up at him, smiling softly, "Don't Angel," Cullen ran his thumb over her lower lip, "Don't ever hide away from me."

Cullen touched her cheek so tenderly Angel could barely find her breath. She tipped her head back and let her hair tumble over her shoulders. He closed his hand around the back of her head and brought her mouth to his. He kissed her slowly, taking his time, letting her feel what he had been feeling. Before the kiss was allowed to get even heated, it ended with the arrival of the food that the waiter brought over.

Angel felt her blush rising again this time from being caught kissing Cullen so intensely. Trying to get her breathing under control took longer than she expected. When Angel looked up at Cullen, she was glad to see Cullen struggling through the same ordeal.

Cullen and Angel began to eat their dinner. Both of them were asking one another questions and answering the questions directed back to them. There were plenty of times when one or the other laughed at a small joke that the other told. There were moments when they just ate, but the silence wasn't awkward in any way. This whole evening was more than Angel could have ever expected. This evening was going completely according to plan without any arguments. When both Cullen and Angel finished their meals, the waiter came back to clear the table and left right away to allow them to continue with their conversations.

Sooner or later, they both realized how late it was actually getting. Cullen stood from the table and helped Angel up after he paid the bill and left a very generous tip for the waiter. When Cullen drove Angel back to her home, he couldn't help but smile how wonderful this evening has been. Cullen walked Angel to her door step, regretting that he would have to say goodnight to her soon. He really wished she would be able to come home with him and just stay forever. He knew though, that this wasn't possible...just yet. Before either of them could say anything, Cullen fully had the intention of finishing their kiss from the restaurant. He leaned over once again, capturing her face in his hands, kissing her deeply. Once again, he kissed her slowly, taking his time, letting her feel the endless need he had.

With that kiss, everything that had taken place between them from their previous encounters were forgotten. Gone was the anger that had arisen between them. All that remained was his touch, his kiss, and the way he made her feel when she was in his arms. Angel never wanted the feeling to disappear again. She shivered with unfamiliar need.

Sensing her reaction, Cullen was suddenly swamped with desire. He closed in for a deeper kiss, silently urging her to comply.

"Cullen..." His name was a soft moan causing his already mounting desire to rage out of control.

Without Angel even realizing what she was doing, her hands roamed his body, pulling his shirt free of his belt so that she could feel the skin underneath. She loved the feel of him. He was driving her wild. Some deep craving inside her was growing, and she didn't know how to fulfill it. This new need and craving began to scare Angel slightly. "Cullen...wait" Angel managed to break the kiss, "wait Cullen, we can't," Angel was breathing so heavily, not being able to finish her sentence. She rested her forehead again Cullen's chest, trying to gain control once again.

Cullen couldn't seem to get control of himself. Breathing deeply, he rested his chin on top of Angel's head, closing his eyes, and just allowing the fulfillment of Angel being in his arms. Once he was in control once again, he leaned down, and kissed Angel softly on the lips. "Would it be alright if we may have dinner again?" Seeing Angel nod in response, Cullen continued, "Perhaps you would like to meet me tomorrow after your evening class to grab a quick bite of something? It could even be a burger if you prefer, or even pizza if you would like."

"Pizza sounds good to me." Angel managed to say.

Smiling down at her, Cullen leaned down, placing another chaste kiss on her lips. "Goodnight my Angel. Sweet dreams." Cullen stepped back, allowing her to open the door and once he knew she was safely inside, he walked back to his car and began to drive back home.

++++++++++++++++++++

The very next morning, Angel couldn't stop smiling. Everything went so wonderfully well last night and she couldn't wait till she got to see Cullen later this evening. This reminded her, that she had to send Cullen directions to the pizza place that they were going to meet up at later that evening.

Angel was so glad that all her classes were flying by—perhaps because she couldn't stop day dreaming. But that kiss last night...she never felt anything like that before. She wondered how much further it would have went if she didn't break the kiss. Angel squirmed in her seat, when all the sudden she heard her name being called. She looked up, and figured that the professor asked her a question. She quickly looked on the chalk board to see if he written anything out that would help her with what he asked her. "Umm, to get that resonance structure, you would need to add HCl, which would then allow the O (oxygen) to become double bonded," answered Angel, hoping she guessed correctly. Seeing her teach nod, Angel let out a long sigh. Now that was close! Maybe she should try to pay attention to the remaining time left.

When class finished, Angel normally talked with her friends, but this evening, she told them that she was sorry but she had to run...she had dinner plans. Smiling, Angel practically ran to her car. Once she started the ignition, she took off towards in the direction of the pizza joint. As she was driving down a two-lane road, she couldn't help but admire at all the beautiful trees from the forest preserves on both sides of the road.

As Angel continued to drive, she then noticed something felt wrong. First the radio began to sound all static, which was odd, because she never had problems with the radio before. But then, it was complete silence. No sound whatsoever was coming from the radio. Next thing she knew, she was trying to slow her car down since she was going downhill, but quickly found out she couldn't break. Angel slammed her foot on the breaks, but the car didn't even slow down one bit. Trying so hard not to panic, she quickly reached beside her so that she could pull the emergency breaks, but it couldn't move. As hard as she tried to pull it, it wouldn't even budge.

But that is not the thing that scared her the most at this moment. All the sudden there was a voice on the radio, which made Angel scream out slightly, since everything was so quiet just a few seconds before. What the voice said, made Angel quickly pale.

"I told you Angel, that you would be sorry. You should have heeded my warning in the letter. Goodbye Angel."

That was the last thing Angel heard before she heard other screeching tires, and then nothing.

I enjoy your story, but you should try to work on your dialoges. There is no need to have them say each other's name every time they open their mouths...

loving this story

I have added you to my favorites so I can check often for the next chapter. Very good plot line and good writing. Gavin and Isobel I think would make a great couple - hint hint - lol - eagerly awaiting the next chapter

Ahhh! So mean to leave us with that cliffhanger! I hope she doesn't stupidly try to keep it from him that she's being threatened. Please don't make her be some stupid woman who wants to deal on her own even after something so bad happening.

Anyway, the chapter was good. Just watch you don't go off too far on a tangent. I thought that the long explanation to her partner during the lab was too much. A short answer of one sentence would be fine but the rest was too much. I like the step back you took letting them get to know each other slowly. That was really good. I also loved when Gavin put Cullen in his place b/c he really was acting like a spoiled brat as he said. I look forward to more of Gavin and Angel teaching him some humility.

Look forward to more....soon!!!

Great!

Great Job with this chapter!!! I hope you get to post the next chapter really quick!! I'm curious as hell what will happen to Angel with the accident and stuff. =)

So, are you going to give us hints who is trying to kill her? You can give us a hint? Will it be obvious or we won't know until the story progresses?
