"Angel, what are the chances of us bumping into one another again?" asked Edana. Clearly she wasn't happy at all to see Angel again.

Angel raised her eye brows. "Yes, what are the chances," Angel said before continuing, "but now I do believe we will get the chance to have our talk we never had before." Angel turned around, walking toward the library, while looking over her shoulder and added, "Please follow". As she walked in, she still couldn't help but be amazed to see so many books. Sure in Cullen's office, there was a great amount, but this room always reminded her from her childhood's favorite Disney movie 'Beauty and the Beast'. The library was just enormous and she couldn't wait until she got the chance of reading all these books.

Once Edana walked into the library, Angel closed the door behind them, so that they will have some privacy. As she turned toward Edana, Angel had to remind herself to stay calm. "As I mentioned before, I have been meaning to have this conversation for a while now. And yet, you still found it alright to ignore my requests."

"Like I have told you before, I am too busy to give you a tour around the house and all the things that will need to be done to have this compound work," said Edana in an icily manner. "And even now Angel, I have more important things to still do than stand here in the library and talk with you."

Angel felt her wolf stirring once again. She took a few deep breathes to try and get her wolf to calm down. Once that was managed, she looked back up at Edana with a smile that had Edana stepping back. "I will only tell you this once Edana. Things are going to change. Let's say, our roles will be reversing."

Edana was shocked slightly, but didn't show it. "We both know you are incompetent to run this compound. So why don't you go find Cullen, and continue to be his little play thing for however long he still finds you useful. I have wasted enough time already here with this nonsense."

As Edana was about to turn to walk out the door, Angel reached out and grabbed a hold of her arm tightly. This time, Edana was shocked to see the look upon Angel's face. Something wasn't right. "I tried to be nice to you Edana, considering you are Cullen's family. But now you listen to me bitch! From what you may think, I am not Cullen's play thing, and you know that since he announced I am his Mate". Angel put the emphasis on the word Mate, while tightening her hold on Edana.

Edana was trying to pull away from her...from her grasp. Angel shouldn't be this strong—not when compared to a were. There was also a gleam in her eyes that she was about to question about. "How long have you been here? And he still didn't mate with yo..."

Angel interrupted her. "Don't worry about that Edana. Things are changing more than you realize. So now you stupid bitch, things are going to go my way. I will not have you..."

But Angel never was able to complete her thought when someone barged into the room. Angel was about to growl and shout at who ever to leave immediately, but she recognized the scent right away. Izzy.

Isobel was told that Angel was in this room from some Omegas, but when she walked in, she never expected to see this. Angel, was different—the look in her eyes was almost animalistic. This doesn't look right, thought Isobel.

"Izzy, this isn't the right time. Why don't you grab something to eat, and we can talk later," said Angel while still glaring hard at Edana.

"I had already some toast. Besides, you said we will go to the stables for a ride. Or should I go without you? All alone in this wild country?" said Isobel. She knew she had to get Angel away from Edana before things turned really ugly.

Angel again took deep breaths to put her wolf back. Why the fuck can't I get some privacy to talk to anyone?! Angel still felt her wolf at the surface, and had to think of Isobel to calm down. This was no way of showing Izzy that she was mated. Angel leaned in close to Edana, whispering menacingly, "we are not through. Not by a long shot. And I do hope for your own good, that you remember that you are to meet with me this afternoon."

Edana flinched slightly at how Angel's voice dropped a few octaves lower. Edana couldn't help but think: Angel is damn insane. How the hell could Cullen bring someone like her to the compound? She tried to step away from Angel, but the grasp she still had on her arm, was very tight. Edana was about to struggle slightly, but Angel let go right away. Now Edana had time to get away from Angel while her sister was causing her such a distraction.

Once Edana left the room, Isobel stepped closer to Angel. "What's wrong, butt-munch? You were about to go all crazy on her ass there."

"Izzy, not right now. We can talk once we are seated on the horses and away from ears."

With that said, both Angel and Isobel began to walk through the house toward the stables. When they were outside, Angel had enough time to calm down completely and asked, "So ass-wipe, how are you this morning, or can I say afternoon already?"

"Yea yea, save that morning crap for another time. But we need to talk about what you saw and don't deny it, because Owen sniffed you. I suppose it's good to have a dog like that. And also we definitely need to talk about what I just walked into in the library."

Angel hissed slightly. "How about we continue this while we go for a ride on the horses? I haven't seen Alainn in a while."

They both walked to the stables in silence. There was no need to say anything until they were sure they were by themselves. Once the horses were saddled, they took off into the field. Angel closed her eyes, feeling the breeze in her face. This is the part that she loved the most. Being free...

After a few silent moments, Angel slowed the pace down to a slow walk. She turned to Izzy, "first things first. Don't call them dogs. They don't like that, and I personally don't like it either." There was no better way of saying this.

"You? What does this have to do with you now? You don't have to worry about changing until you finally decide to mate with Cullen."

"Yea, exactly that. Umm, Isobel, Cullen and I have mated a couple days ago." Angel looked out at the view before her, finding the piece she really needed.

"And you are just telling me this now?" asked Isobel, while completely astounded. She knew there was something different between the two, but never thought it came as far as this.

"Hey, I didn't even tell the pack either! I wanted to tell you first, I just didn't know how."

Isobel absorbed everything. She was able to push away other matters and just focus with what was at hand. "Ok, so do you want to tell me why you didn't tell the pack yet?"

At this, Angel grinned. "That's because I was saving it for someone special. But Izzy," Angel took a deep breath, "I'm nervous. I feel the wolf so close to the surface. It feels like any moment, I will loose complete control over her. That is exactly what happened in the library. It felt like the wolf was about to burst out and put Edana in her place. But it is still way too early for my wolf to be showing her presence this early."

Isobel nodded. "So what did Cullen say about it?"

Angel sighed. "What do you think he said? He said there was nothing to worry about, that there was no need to get worked up for nothing. Cullen suggested that it might have been all this extra stress, and even with these threatening incidents that the wolf was pushing forward."

"Do you believe him?"

"I don't see a reason not too I suppose. I guess maybe I might be over thinking all this. Ugh, I don't know." Angel grabbed onto the reins tightly. "Come on; let's see what power these horses have."

Isobel laughed. "I thought you would have never said that!" She kicked her horse slightly, and then took off. "Catch up to me if you can!"

Angel grabbed the reins tightly and took off with the horse at high speed, laughing.

Cullen waited patiently for both Isobel and Angel to return. He was even about to start pacing, when in the far distance, he was able to see two riders approaching the compound. Cullen knew there wasn't anything to worry about, but when his and Angel's connection seemed to be weakened, he couldn't help but worry.

Not only that, Owen became agitated when he at first couldn't find Isobel at the compound. Owen was sure to tear up the place searching for her before Cullen intervened and informed him where she was. To think that this would have eased the poor lad's worries...in fact just worried him even more.

When both the ladies approached, Cullen had to remind himself to stay calm. He bought this horse for Angel for the very same reason why she just rode it today—because she loved it. Cullen walked to Angel, and grabbed a hold of her hips gently to bring her to the ground carefully—where he hugged her tightly.

"How was your ride Angel?" Cullen whispered softly, his lips caressing the spot on her neck that always made her shiver.

"We both enjoyed ourselves Cullen. Is there anything wrong?"

Cullen shook his head gently. "No my love. How about you both get settled in and washed up, since lunch won't be ready for another hour or so."

That seemed to shake Angel right away into motion. "Oh, no, I need to meet up with someone. Isobel, why don't you go and freshen up and probably find Owen. I'm sure he was worried. And I will meet with you two later during lunch." Angel quickly left inside the compound before any of them could say a word.

Angel quickly began to look for Edana. But as she searched for her in each room and still haven't found her, Angel began to get really upset. She even asked a few omegas to get a hold of Edana, but in the end...she wasn't anywhere to be found. She felt her wolf getting riled up at someone from her pack not listening to her explicit orders.

Glynis found her pacing the library when she entered the room. She knew that her Lambie had made it clear that she wanted a word with Edana. This is something Edana would do on purpose to show Angel how she really thinks lowly of her. Glynis felt bad for the little lass—she has been trying hard and making great progress, but no one can ever jump passed the hurdle that was Edana.

"Come on Lambie, why don't we go and get you ready for lunch?" suggested Glynis, while she wrapped one arm around Angel's shoulders. "I am sure you worked yourself an appetite riding Alainn".

Angel just nodded her head in agreement. At that moment, she knew she had to calm down, so that she wouldn't take out her anger on someone she cares for deeply.

They both headed up the stairs, where Angel was able to shower, and get dressed in a simple cotton dress that hugged her upper body tightly, but flowed loosely from her hips. Angel was staring intently in the mirror. Something seemed off and she couldn't even put her finger on it. Just something felt wrong...different was the better word for it.

Both Glynis and Angel headed to the dining hall, where they greeted many members from the pack. Angel couldn't help but laugh as she scooped up little Shannon. She was honestly one of the most adorable children she has ever seen. With bright green eyes that always sparkled, and a full head of red curls, you couldn't help but smile whenever she looked your way.

"Milady it seems like you are a natural with children," said one mother while observing Angel before continuing, "I know someday, you will be a wonderful mother."

Angel stiffened. She smiled gently to the mother, but inside, she felt like a big ball of knots. She never was regular due to problems she normally had with the cyst, but how long has it been since her last monthly? Angel knew that she and Cullen have had more than enough sex, but could she be pregnant? She didn't think so...but then again, she should have had her period by now...

Angel looked up at Cullen at the moment. She saw him staring intently at her. Does he know what I was thinking about?

Cullen kept on staring at Angel. He saw her stiffen even though no one else seemed to notice—but then again, there isn't anything that Cullen wouldn't notice about Angel. He tried to search her mind to see what she was thinking, but growled slightly when he found out her thoughts were blocked. How the hell did she learn to block her thoughts from me?!

Glynis helped lead Angel to the main table. Once Angel sat down, she could feel Cullen staring at her. She turned her head slightly, and raised her one brow up. "Yes?"

"How did you learn to block me?" Cullen couldn't help but ask.

"To block? I'm sorry Cullen, but I don't know what you are talking about." She was confused, but Angel could see that Cullen was being serious.

"Your thoughts Angel. I was able to read them before, but now there is a block," Cullen simply stated.

Angel stared at him. "Cullen, I don't know what to say. I don't know how I am blocking you."

Cullen could see something was worrying Angel and right now he just wanted to gather her in his arms. Perhaps later tonight, she would open up.

"Cullen really, don't look at me like that, as if something is wrong with me." Angel felt a bit exasperated. She shifted slightly in her seat feeling her wolf stir now. Thankfully, lunch was brought out quickly. As normal, Angel grabbed her plate of salad. She always preferred to have something light during lunch, but even now, while she stared down at her salad, she felt a craving for steak. Angel shook her head, trying to clear this feeling. No no, a salad will be just perfect for right now. Perhaps later this evening she might get a steak with her meal. Even with this thought, Angel couldn't shake the craving. Angel ate her whole plate and even a little sandwich wrap—but still that didn't quench her craving for more meat.

Angel was about to ask if she could have something else, when she then all the sudden looked down at her hands and saw where her nails would be turning into claws. Angel immediately stood up—the chair being thrown back as she did so. The whole room went quiet...all staring intently on her.

'Angel?' Cullen asked worriedly through their bond.

Angel saw her claws lengthen even more, and just walked quickly out of the room while covering her hands so no one would be able to see. She quickly went outside to the garden—her little haven. Angel knew she had to calm down and not get so scared. She already realized how her emotions play a strong part with her wolf coming to the surface.

"Angel!" Cullen shouted as he stepped outside, looking for her.

"I'm over here Cullen," answered Angel, while her voice was still a bit uneasy. She closed her eyes, taking deep breaths even more, struggling to hold back the wolf. Angel heard Cullen walking toward her quickly.

Once Cullen reached Angel, he grabbed her shoulders lightly to turn her around. When he was able to see her, he was shocked to see her eyes have changed. "Angel...breathe slowly."

Angel was still hiding her claws away from Cullen. She stepped closer, letting Cullen wrap his arms around her. This always seemed to comfort her—maybe this was the extra little thing she needed to ease her wolf away.

Slowly, within a few minutes, Angel felt her claws were gone and her regular nails back. She looked up, worried, "Cullen...I..."

Cullen saw how close she was to tears, "Shh, Angel. Don't worry. I've got you. See, everything is alright now." He leaned forward placing a soft kiss on her forehead. He began to slowly run his fingers through her hair in a comforting manner which seemed to do the trick.

Once Angel has settled down, she was able to detect a couple scents.

"It's alright Angel. It is only Gavin, Owen and Isobel."

They both waited until they all reached them in the garden. Isobel was the first to try to walk to Angel, but was stopped by Owen.

"Owen you better let me go," warned Isobel.

"Don't, Angel's wolf is too close, she could harm you..."

"I don't care! That is my sister!" She pulled her hand from his grip and walked quickly to Angel. "Are you alright?"

Angel looked up and saw how worried Isobel was. She nodded, and looked behind Izzy toward Owen and Gavin where they just stood staring. Angel noticed how Owen was ready to intervene on behalf of Izzy. "You can stop worrying Owen, I wouldn't ever hurt her," Angel ground out, a little irked to think that he thought she was even capable of ever hurting her sister.

"I'm sorry Angel, I guess I am over protective of her like Cullen is over you."

Angel nodded once again. She remembered how protective he was, and still is. "I suppose everyone is talking about me in the dining hall."

Gavin smiled and walked up to Angel. "Nothing too bad. They were all just a bit confused to see you leave all the sudden, that's all."

Cullen sat on the bench, pulling Angel onto his lap, holding her tightly. Angel laid her head down on his chest, where Cullen then was able to rest his chin on top of her head. Angel closed her eyes, feeling slightly drained from the effort of easing her wolf back down.

Cullen looked at Gavin and Owen and said to both of them, 'I think we may have a serious problem. Angel's wolf is coming whether we are ready or not.'

They both nodded. 'Don't worry Cullen. Angel is strong. We will handle anything that happens just fine,' said Gavin while projecting to both Cullen and Owen.

'You both can leave now. Angel is asleep at the moment. It seems like her wolf is taking a lot of her energy,' said Cullen quietly.

Once they were alone, Cullen maneuvered Angel slightly, so that she would be more comfortable while she rested. Cullen just stared out at the garden, trying to ease his worry.

++++++++++++

When Angel woke up, she was able to sense that Cullen was asleep while still having his arms secured tightly around her. The little nap she had seemed to be just what she needed. Angel felt relaxed and more herself—sort of. She still felt her wolf, but now it seemed like the wolf wanted something else. She wants to play? Angel was confused about that, but shrugged her shoulders.

She sat up a bit more, and nibbled Cullen's neck slightly. She heard him groan, but not wake completely. Angel smiled while she moved up to nibble on his earlobe, and whisper very quietly in a seductive tone, "I need you Cullen, right now. Deep in me."

That seemed to wake Cullen up right away. Angel quickly got off of his lap, smiling seductively. She began to slowly take her heals off.

"Angel," Cullen ground out. He was hard right away, but didn't know if Angel was ready for this sort of activity so soon after.

Angel smiled once again, before turning her back toward him and walking toward the forest. As she began to walk toward the trees, she felt herself growing wet in anticipation of what was about to come. Once she reached the forest, she looked over her shoulder at Cullen—who was still sitting on the bench confused. 'Count to twenty, and then you may come after me'.

Cullen immediately stood up. Against his better judgment, the thought of a chase seemed to get his adrenalin pumping, but to chase his mate brought his wolf to the surface. 'Go mate. But when I catch you, you best be ready to submit.'

'We will see about who will be submitting to who...'

Cullen was about to come after her right there and then, but had to hold back his wolf for a little bit longer.

Meanwhile, Angel quickly began to run. This run was like nothing she ever felt before. The immense freedom she felt, along with joy and excitement. She was shocked how effortlessly she managed to run through the forest, jumping over fallen trees with ease and grace.

That is when she felt Cullen. She knew that he changed to his hybrid form. With this thought, she just pushed herself even more, running even harder and faster. She knew that she wouldn't be able to outrun Cullen while still in human form, but that is one thing that she was looking forward to when she can finally change.
