"Uh, okay?" Rupert mumbled.
"Be gentle with Poppy girl. Not to come off as, well, racist, but Poppy girl is a dog, and that comes with a lot of exploitable attachment quirks," Shawky pointed out.
Rupert listened with careful intent, not wanting to show any sign of disrespect.
"All I'm saying is to please be careful with her. I can see just by how you two walked in the door that she has become subservient to you, which means you are special to her. Don't abuse that," Shawky ended.
"You have my word as a gentleman that I will do no such thing!" Rupert declared, pounding his fat chest and huffing with pride.
"Well, good, I knew you were a man of honor," Shawky giggled, amused by his antics.
"Jeez, Ma, he's such a nerd," Wilkie giggled
"Oh, hush now, he's trying," Shawky fanned.
"I wish I had a cool guy to date me...," Jeggli sighed, plopping down to the hard surface of the polished wooden floors.
"Oh, it'll be fine young miss, I'm sure your knight will come soon!" Rupert announced with gusto.
"Nah...I'm too fat," Jeggli moaned, making circles against the floor with her index finger.
"Nonsense, you're huge...erm...assets are most fetching!" Rupert smiled.
"Can you be my boyfriend?" Jeggli whined.
Poppy barked like mad at this suggestion, causing her to miss a return shot from Gaxi.
"Haha, I won!" Gaxi cheered.
This in turn got Jeggli a snarl from Poppy.
"Oh boy, you shouldn't tread on marked territory, Miss Jeggli," Shawky laughed.
