Slowly, carefully and oh, so easily, she brought the woman along in her thinking, moving it as naturally as possible. Too quickly, and it would be apparent to Jade what had happened and she would never live with that. It would be the death of everything Lorelei had ever wanted.

That evening, Giovanni walked his mother back to their house. "Grazie, mamma, per la venuta." After making sure she was comfortable, he returned to Jade.
Lorelei was unsure what would happen... if it were even possible for Jade to become pregnant. In all her own years, not once did she become with child and after years of trying, gave up. She knew that was how her assignation with Isabel and now Jade had come about and flourished over the years. She just wanted the unquestioning love of a child, the same as every other woman.
She heard the loud moans of Jade coming from the guest room and she wondered if this was how it was to be. She wondered when Jade would tell him.
