Vampire: The Encounter

I never was one to believe in the supernatural. If I don't see it then I don't believe its real. That was until what happen that night. I work at a diner for Melvin, an older gentleman who was the only one who ever gave me a chance in this world. I have lived a very unstable life in the past and finally things were working out the way I wanted it to.

I sat at one of the tables near the window as I read the news paper. It was completely lifeless due to the storm developing outside. The bar down the street always got more business anyway and Melvin has been struggling to get customers lately. Usually there were a group of people in here but tonight I didn't see a soul. Melvin walked over and sat across from me.

"Hey kiddo, How about you head home while I close up early it looks like the fish aren't bitin' tonight." He said with a warm smile.

"You need help? I can help close up for you." I say knowing full well his wife hates it when he strains himself.

"No need Darlin' I got it from here. You go home an' take it easy." He says as he hands me my pay check as he escorts me out the door was I put on my winter coat. I say goodbye to him and head down the street.

I know It's not safe of me to go walk down past the bars but it's safer than the alleyways and faster to my apartment. I walk past the bar as two men in their forties check me out. One fo the whistles at me but I ignore him and walk down an alley for a shortcut.

"Hey come on Honey we don't bite...hard" He whistles again at me like I'm a stray dog. I roll my eyes at his pathetic drunkenness as I continue to walk. I hear them walk behind me, so naturally I quicken my pace but then I feel a full force on my back that pushes me on the ground.

"You didn't answer us, Bitch." One says to me as He pulls me up by the hair and pushes me against the wall. My head smacks against he brick wall and I become disorientated. I try to fight back but it was two grown men against a five two female. The bigger one held me down as the other started to feel me up. I spat in his face in protest and then felt a back hand against my face full force.

"Listen up you little cunt. You're going to behave while we fuck you or your going to make me slit your throat." The smaller one says as he holds a knife against my throat already making a cut at my neck as the blood trails down my neck.

"She's got spunk though, You gotta give her that." The bigger guy laughs as he gropes my chest.

"She's gonna have a mouthful of my spunk once I'm don't with her." The smaller one says as he moves his hand down to my skirt and up my leg. Somehow I lost control of my emotions and tried fighting back then it was all a blur from there and a sharp and excruciating pain in my stomach. I look down and notice I'm bleeding as I fall on my hands and knees.

"Fuck, Let's get outta here man!" The bigger guy says to the smaller guy who holds the knife firmly in his hand.

I don't exactly remember everything else that happened besides a lot of screaming and not of my own. Bones are cracking and blood splatters everywhere as I lose consciousness.

My eyes slowly open to meet emerald eyes looking back at mine. I look around my surroundings to see I'm back at my apartment. His face was handsome and looked like a statue. He moved back from me as I woke up. I try to sit up but remember the wound in me side as I wince.

"I wouldn't move if I were you," He says in a soft and calming voice. "You should be alright as long as you don't move too much."

"Who are you and how did you know where I live? I say as my voice cracked.

"I checked your purse for an address. I didn't take anything from it." He says as he gives me my purse as proof.

"What happened to those men?" I say as I tense up not sure if I want to know. He face changes from calm and reassuring to cold. His body tenses up as he turns his back to me staring at the window. "They wont bother you again..." I stay silent for a moment as I'm at a loss for words.

He has a very attractive body. He must be at least six feet and very toned yet slender. His hair was shaggy and dark brown.

"Why did you do it?" I could remember their screams.

"It's in my nature." He says as he looks back at me. He makes his way to the door to leave. "If you have any problems go to the hospital but you shouldn't."

"Stop, don't leave." I say as I try to move and cry out from the pain in my stomach. Look up and suddenly he was over me as he helped me lay back down.

"Why?" He says has he stares at me with those hypnotic eyes. I felt nothing as I stared into them. As if he drained all of the pain from my body. He hands were cold but it felt soothing against my naturally warm skin. I almost for got to answer because I was enjoying just how it felt to gaze at his eyes. I couldn't find a real reason to keep him here with me.

"I have a creepy ex-boyfriend who stalks me." I say but I'm sure he knew I was just trying to keep him there. He grimaced at my response and caressed My cheek with his cold hand.

I closed my eyes in peace and suddenly felt his lips pressing against mine. At first I was in shock but because I had been single for so long I didn't care. His mouth tasted better than any other man's. I felt myself getting aroused and I couldn't feel any pain from my wound at all. I was in so much pleasure just from kissing him I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to sleep with him and that aroused me even more. He grabbed a handful of my scarlet hair gently but firm as he kissed me more roughly. I felt something sharp graze against my lips as I pulled away slightly. My lip bled a little and I saw what was the once green eyes turn to fiery red.

He noticed what he had done and stood up. His face was alarmed and shocked. At that very moment I realized this was no human but a vampire. He knew very well I figured it out and began to turn his back.

"Until next time...Ramona Evans...." He Immediately vanished from my sight.
