The conversion of the rest of the "safe" house took less than five minutes. The few people who had time to scream beforehand were not heard, as the house was well soundproofed.
The bell at the front gate chimed. Katarina let her new leader in, leading him into the living room where the newly converted vampires were assembled. Sensing his power, they bowed to him submissively as she took her place at his side as his second-in-command.
He spoke. "Other vampire hunters. They will wonder what happened here. They will come to investigate. And we will be waiting."
"And then?" Katarina asked.
He smiled, showing his fangs. "And then, the world."
