Chapter 3 - Power?

The comforting warmth brought her back to reality. Her eyes flashed open as she jumped up in a panic, the sloshing of the water made her look down to realize she was in a tub. She gazed all around her to find she was still in the bathroom from before, her memory piecing together how she got in the bath. Beside the female was a toilet. Good. She thought, leaning over the ledge into the bowl she emptied the contents of her stomach. Colors of yellows and black filled the porcelain, and before she could think Drakari returned, his concerned presence now looming in the candle lit room. She looked to him with a sheepish smirk, wiping her lips on the backside of her hand.

"Petary." She said with an embarrassed shrug from vomiting in front of him. The girl then sinked back into the warm water with a heavy sigh.

"It's fine little kirita." The male murmured as he flushed the toilet.

She couldn't help but to roll her eyes at his comment. "I am not a little kitten." She snapped back coolly, her voice slightly hoarse from exhaustion. Quickly she accepted the small white towel he handed to her and dipped it in the water before softly rubbing at her face.

The man chuckled, "Ah, but would you be one if there was food on the line?" He raised a dark eyebrow to her as he noticed the excited expression appearing on her angular face.

Pulling out from behind his back was a stick skewered with chunks of what seemed to be grilled chicken. However, she smelled it before she saw it, knowing exactly what the meal was. She moved to her knees in the bath, hanging the towel over the side, staring at him with big golden eyes as she leaned over the ledge.

"I do expect you to give that to me, peasant." She snapped, her voice swirling with eagerness. A growl lingered in her throat as the girl's small pink tongue came out to lick at her lips, tiny fangs glinting against the serene light of the candles. Her silky fox tail swished in the water behind her in agitation, she was not patient. He waved the food before her and she reached out for it, but he yanked it back when it was just about to be in her grasp. The sudden strain on her muscles made her whine and she slowly retreated her hand back to the tub as she laid back against the ceramic with another heavy sigh, filled with defeat. As she dropped her head, her eyes quickly wandered to her body, noticing the strange markings that went across her chest and towards her ribcage.

"So what are these markings you gave me?" The vulpine female questioned, her eyes not looking towards the man as she continued to stare at her newly decorated skin. She could sense a frown appearing on his face when he realized she wouldn't be playing for the food. Her attention was now stuck on what had been done to her earlier. Before answering her question, he slowly moved the stake of meat towards her, and to his amusement, she snatched with lightning reflexes as soon as it was presented in reach. A small smile formed on his lips as her eyes flashed to him challengingly taking her first greedy bite.

"It's a Richa." Drakari stated simply, sitting cross legged beside the tub. He watched as she ate, keeping an eye on her for changes, he couldn't help but be uneasy as he noted how hungry she had been.

Her eyes quickly shot to him with a slight glare, "Can you stop?" The question rang out against her chewing as she stared on with annoyance, not liking the perpetual expression on his face whenever he gazed at her.

His eyebrows suddenly furrowed as he became confused, "Stop what?" His query seemed innocent as tilted his head to her, the horns upon his head caught the light in a way that seemed to make them glow.

She huffed, her unrest very evident as she ate the last piece of chicken off the thin fragment of wood. "You look at me like I am weak." The female paused as her stare hardened with intensity, "You do not know the power I possess." The power I possess... She was slightly taken aback by her own words, it seemed to be the correct thing to say but she didn't understand.

Suddenly she was in a cage screaming. There was a different man across from her tied in a chair. Bright red poured from his eyes, ears, mouth and nose; every orifice leaking with the sharp smell of iron. His whole being vibrated fiercely in an maniacal shaking sequence as her dry hands gripped the metal bars, shrieking out within the small cement room she was in, a glass wall adorning the left of her was shrouded with opacity, a door beside it. She felt it travel through her body, the strong sensation of intensity was being created in her very being and released before her. The man stopped moving and fell limp just as a buzz rang out overhead, quickly she smiled as she turned her head to the left, waiting for the metal entrance to open.

Gasping, she shook her head in surprise, feeling the warm water pour down on her. Swiftly, looking up with wild eyes she recognized Drakari as he held a now empty wooden bucket above her head.

...

"The Richa is to stop you from feeling the pain within your body and mind, however, it seems the curse put on you is very strong. I can tell that it's overpowering you in visions." Drakari rubbed at the dark scruff on his chin in thought, he was crouched now beside the tub as he stared on at the peculiar fox girl.

She was having difficulties comprehending her whole situation. Something is seriously wrong with me, I don't even know myself. I can't even remember if I have a name. Why is everything so foggy? I know there was snow...an angel...now I'm in this house. The female was staring hard at the water, watching it shimmer from the flickering candles.

"Who are you again?" She couldn't help but ask, her mind attempting to piece together the story of her life. Her wheat colored gaze turned to look at the Stadalanian male.

He quickly cleared his throat, "I am Drakari Tygeran, Lord Drakari of Stadalania, a Royal. I work as a contract Namuki for the city of Cai." He paused almost as if to read my curious thoughts. "We are in the district of Caiteg, the blue forest, which is mostly uninhabitable except for oddities like me." He ran a large hand through his choppy black locks, "We are in my estate. The nearest being is nearly a hundred lengths away."

She looked to him with an open gaze, processing all the information he had just given her, still having many more questions to ask.

"And you are..." He paused and his icy blue eyes glowed slightly as they bore into her gaze, almost as if to look into her. "A-Aki?" His orbs squinted slightly, almost like he was having difficulties focusing.

"Akanthra." They both said at the same time, their gazes both very intense. Memories of her name flooded back to her like a river in spring. Drakari raised an eyebrow to her, impressed she was able to find that information locked within her brain.

"Do you know you are the last of your kind, a Feltaraji? Your species is extinct and has been for almost a century." The male marveled at her with an excited survey. "I don't understand, same as you." He let out a sigh and stood to his feet as he peered down at her, reaching a hand to lay it on the top of her head, the fingers falling slightly to rub at one of her ears. "You should be dead, but here you are before me, like a flame in the darkest of nights."

Akanthra could feel her own heartbeat in her chest. She didn't know how to feel knowing she was supposedly the last of the Feltaraji. Her fox ears flattened against her head at his touch as she stared up to him apprehensively.

"You seem to be feeling anxious." The man questioned, concern slightly pasted on his face.

Her breath got short as she ducked her head away from his hand, "Can you read my mind?"

Drakari smiled at her, pleased with her attentiveness. "Yes." Pulling his hand back, he slid his palms into the pockets of his grey cargo styled pants. "Us Stadalanian's have the ability to read minds and yours just happens to be astoundingly easy through your Korr Magic. Despite being as mature as you are, you have yet to control yourself." He pondered tilting his head side to side as he clicked his tongue. "You must be about eighteen with the discipline of a six yearling." The male reached down to poke her nose like she was an infant.

She blinked her eyes as she thought about everything he said. Akanthra's tail swayed in the water as ideas bubbled around her like the soap on the surface. She could just feel his amusement arise off her thoughts that he was supposedly picking up. The vixen quickly whipped her head up to glare at him threateningly.

He quickly raised his palms to her in innocence, a smirk on his lips. "Calm down kirita, I only want to help."

She tilted her head to his words, "And what exactly can you help with?" She questioned, her annoyance turning to curiosity.

"Help you get control over your powers."

And here we have the plot, my friends. Please, go ahead and give your opinions and honest ratings. Literotica is a great idea format for me, hopefully I can one day advance this story to put it on paper. I hope you all enjoy!

Hey thanks for the feedback!! I just adore being an amateur writer and as you’ve noticed I do blur past my mistakes fairly easily - luckily I’m still learning. I haven’t really thought about it until now but maybe you’d be interested in volunteering as my proofreader? I could definitely use a precise analyst such as yourself.

If You're Serious . . .

There are numerous errors that detract from your storyline and lower your ratings. As an example, breathe is the verb, the action, and breath is the noun, what you exhale from your lungs. You also tend to use plurals when you clearly mean the possessive; example: the girls' is the plural indicating more than one girl, the girl's is the possessive indicating something belonging to a single girl.

Proofreading is not nearly as much fun as creating, yet it does lead to higher ratings as your readers are able to better appreciate your story without the distraction of typographical errors. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
