Just ten more days. She had already received her new orders. Admiral Nichols had handed them to her personally. She was off to Mars, as was her squadron, to teach a group of scout ship pilots what she knew. One hundred scout ship pilots. Most of them from the NAD. The rest were from various other places around the globe. She would be here long enough to see Thesses and her people start working the land here. Saying good-bye would be hard, but she had other things to do now. The FOP fleet would soon be a fleet of exploration instead of a fleet of war. Not that they were disarming, but the mission was changing. Was it a change for the good? It would be hard to tell until they encountered the next alien race out among the stars.
