Gwen's mind went blank. All she could concentrate on was Alya's warmth within her, a feeling she never imagined could be possible in this mortal world. Ayla began to move, slowly at first, but gradually picking up speed. Gwen bit the corner of her lip, her back arching as the tempo became faster and faster. Sweat ran down her spine. She felt something welling up within her.

And then Ayla stopped.

Why? Gwen glanced at Ayla, a single eyebrow raised, her mouth fumbling to find the words to describe her disappointment. Ayla tapped Gwen's nose. Not. Just. Yet, she mouthed.

Ayla grabbed one of Gwen's breasts, groping it as she sucked on the other. She bit Gwen's nipple ever so slightly and as Gwen lost herself to the sensual pleasure, Ayla re-inserted her finger, this time, with an additional neighbor.

Her fingers assailed Gwen's senses once more. Gwen wrapped her arms around Ayla, holding her for support as each thrust sent a shockwave through her. She couldn't control her voice any longer, letting out a multitude of groans that sent Ayla into an even greater frenzy. The same swelling sensation as before grew within her, growing and growing until a primal cry burst free from Gwen.

She quivered uncontrollably, a surge of electricity running amok in her body. She squeezed her eyes shut, letting the heavenly sensation run its course. And at long last, when the pleasure had subsided, she released her hold on Ayla.

Gwen collapsed onto the bed, lightheaded. Her legs refused to answer her calls and her chest heaved like a smithie's bellow. Despite being drenched in sweat though, despite her body aching, despite all of that, Gwen couldn't help but smile. She felt amazing.

She peeked at Ayla. An equally large smile was stretched across her face, almost as if she were saying, 'how was it'? Her smile slowly morphed into a grin. Gwen needn't answer; they both already knew.

The inn began to shake violently and her smile snapped into a frown. Dust rained down from the ceiling as the support beams groaned, threatening to collapse at any moment.

"What's happening?"

Cracks spiderwebbed along the four walls, shattering each one into a number of impossible shapes. Reality itself seemed to be breaking apart.

"Looks like times up," Ayla said. "As much as I hate to admit it, your strength far surpasses mine. I'm surprised I even managed to keep you for this long."

Gwen looked at Ayla, her chest heavy. She thought back to the reality that awaited her, the challenge that both of them had agreed to take on. It would be so much easier to stay in this world forever, "do we have to go?"

"As much as I would like to stay, dreams can't last forever," Ayla said softly. She planted a quick kiss on Gwen's cheek, "I'll be waiting for you in the real world."

A comforting warmth took ahold of Gwen's body. She watched as Ayla waved goodbye and then suddenly, her world went black.

"Hero!"

Gwen blinked. Where am I?

"What are you waiting for?" Tiberius shouted.

She glanced around the room, quickly absorbing her surroundings. Right, she was still in the midst of battle. Her hands glowed from the purging spell she had prepared just seconds ago. Had that all been a dream? She looked towards the Demon Queen for answers.

The Demon Queen winked at her.

It hadn't been a dream. Their time together, it had been real, all of it. Gwen crushed the purging spell, redirecting the mana towards a different spell. She threw her hand into the air.

"Sleep."

Magical powder wafted throughout the throne room, lulling her companions into a slumber.

"Why?" Luna managed as she sank to the ground. Gwen gave her a reassuring smile. Everything would be alright. She had nothing to worry about. Though wholy unconvinced, Luna had no choice but to accept Gwen's decision. Her eyes fluttered shut and she was out.

Ayla stretched out her hand, welcoming Gwen to join her, this time, in the real world. Gwen sheathed her equipment. She strolled past the remains of their messy battle, past the bodies of her unconscious companions, and reached out for Ayla.

"Chains."

Various chains built from light shot out of Gwen's hands, binding Ayla's arms and embedding themselves in the ceiling. She dangled helplessly in the air, her feet just barely out of reach from the floor. She struggled for a bit, spinning fruitlessly before facing Gwen.

"What's the meaning of this?" she sputtered.

Gwen smirked coyly, "Don't worry, I'm still onboard with your plan. But first," she pinched Ayla's butt, "a little payback for making me cry earlier."

"Eep," despite her purple skin, Gwen could see Ayla beginning to blush. "Go easy, will you?" she weakly joked.

"I'll try."
