canndover 10 years agoI enjoyed the story, but I'm choked up by the letters Jing wrote. I have to ask....is something in your life making you write such sad things in your stories? You're usually good for a HEA. lol. Gosh, you made me sad as heck with 'Robert' and the follow-up story and I had missed this last chapter and had really expected he'd make it.
You jerked emotion out of us in the story. I hope you will do a follow-up story b/c you have to show us what will come of the Xolt now that they have a female. I am wondering too what you meant by Steven's baby being 'different too?' I assume he'll be her mate, though maybe not since they are cousins. I can't see this ending well unless Zhi and Brandon can have a child. He clearly loves this little girl, but I think it will wreck this child if she is never fully loved and accepted by her father. He's being a selfish asshole right now!! How selfish it is to not put aside your pain and love that baby that didn't create itself. She didn't ask to be conceived and she didn't kill her father. She deserves to be loved. And there is gonna be damage if she has to live with her dad not loving her enough to see past his own pain. It will hurt her if she watches him raising her brothers, but he never is a true dad to her. So, though I would feel terribly for Brandon who would love her like his own and may have a piece of his heart ripped out if she is able to be raised by Hul, he is surprisingly developing into someone who would accept that pain rather than see her not be loved by her father. Who'd a thunk it after the way he was when we met him?
Well, I hope you finish it soon. I hope you put the time into it and don't rush it. It is a great series and I'd hate to see you not play out all aspects fully.
I think the story kinda got taken off of Zhi and Brandon, so I think it would be good to give some focus on their relationship when the time comes. It would help to take us back to the day he had to accept he'd have to raise the baby with Zhi. How did it change their relationship? How did Zhi feel about the fact that they may never have a child?
I need to go find something a bit less depressing lol. I hope you are in a happier mood when you write the next part! lol
lonesomedove66almost 11 years agoI have loved this story from beginning to end. I think we all new Jing was going to die but to bring a daughter into the world is a blessing and it is good he new his mate so well but sad it is taking Hul so long to come to terms with it. He is missing out on best times of their lives.
I am sad for Brandon but also glad that he has the opportunity to raise his niece with his mate and sorry for Stephen but happy they had at least one child safely.
Look forward to reading more of your stories as I thoroughly enjoy them all.
