Hello, Void. I believe I will talk into you.
So I've been writing for a while. Not necessarily well as what I've mostly been doing is just telling myself stories, but occasionally people seem to appreciate what I write. I don't show too much of my stuff around. Maybe it's time to change that.
The first thing I published here on Lit is something I wrote on a whim about four years ago. I stuck it up here without much thought--a test, more or less, prior to submitting some of the other stuff I've been working on. I wanted to get a sense of Lit's formatting, etc.
Of course, looking at my little vignette again gave me an idea for a full-fledged story, so currently that is what I'm working on. "Roseland" Chapter 1 is pretty rough as a stand-alone, but Chapter 2 has been submitted and has considerably more of everything: length, sex, and character development. Also a bit less of the stream-of-consciousness business; maybe some people find that annoying. In any case, hopefully it will find the people for whom it's intended.
I am always looking to improve my writing. That's why I'm here. If anyone actually reads this, I would be pleased as punch to find a beta reader who isn't put off by horror, gothic, dark, creepy, and/or various combinations thereof. I know my shit's not for everyone and I don't intend it to be. But if it's for a few people--five or six; shit, I don't know--I sure would like to find you.
