I'm a Viet Nam Era Veteran. I've worked in Alaska for oil companies. When the oil patch took a down-turn in the eighties, I began working with various newspapers in North and South Carolina and Georgia. My previous wife died of a severe illness,which cleaned out savings and retirement accounts. Currently, I'm retired with some part-time editing and writing work. I remarried, after several years, the cop who'd given me a speeding ticket some twenty-some-odd years earlier. However, I still have a lot of time on my hands, so I write, more to keep the old brain active. Hope you like my scribblings.
