Boris Veniaminovitch Babkin lives in the city of Elista, the capital of the Republic of Kalmykia, Russian Federation. He is a long-time member of the Kalmyk Writer's Union. Back in Soviet times, Boris Babkin was a well known writer of Socialist Realism. In 1982 he received the Sholokhov award for his novel "Reinforced concrete". After the collapse of the Soviet Union, he changed genres and turned to erotic fiction.
