I'm a forty something divorced male with one daughter. I enjoy writing and drawing. I am taking advice I was given by an author I trust to slow down. I am writing Chapter 4 of Shepherdess without a Flock and I'm taking my time with it. I have other stories outlined and I will get to those as I get to them.
I am a volunteer editor and enjoy helping other writers. I believe editing is helping my writing by exposing me to different styles. Watching people make choices I never would in prose. It's an interesting process.
I want to find writers who have been harshly critiqued by anons to tell them not to give up. Did the first three chapters I submitted here suck? Yes, they needed work. I rushed them. I have taken all the advice I was given (except to quit) and I think my writing has improved. I'm happy to read the work of writers who were discouraged by others. I will give friendly advice.
Thanks to all who've read my stories. Thank you for all the votes.
