My ambition is to write erotica that A) tells a compelling story about interesting characters, B) features satisfying graphic sex scenes, and C) poses intriguing questions about sexual fantasy and desire.
Regarding the third goal, I'm certainly not out to moralize, shame, or make value judgments of any kind. But I think we can simultaneously enjoy our fantasies while also critically examining their function. I'm just interested in where our fantasies come from, why we need them, and what they might tell us about ourselves. I'm interested in the bilateral relationship between our fantasies and our "real" lives--that is, how the former affects the latter, and vice versa.
Any and all feedback is welcome. Personally, I find the most useful feedback to be the kind that reflects the reader's experience back to the author (what the piece made them think and feel).
