I put things bluntly.
There's only so much a man can write, before he runs out of synonyms, and starts getting ridiculous.
So instead of ending up committing all sorts of horrendous crimes to the English language, writing about voluptuous honey-caves and other travesties of flowery similes, I rather put things bluntly, and hope that rather the situation speaks for itself.
