HAREM COUNTRY EXPLANATION:

Altea is a country on a world with physical gods and goddesses (as well as demigods and demigodesses) that rule over them as kings and queens. These gods don't age, but can be killed and usually have two attributes, as well as an orientation.

There are two orientations: Light and Dark. Gods of light favor peace, restraint, and morality. Gods of dark favor conflict, emotional passion, and feeding of desires. That is not to say that gods of light can't be emotional, petty, and go to war. Gods of dark can also be restrained, controlled, and enjoy peace. These are just generalities. The two orientations usually do not get along, fortunately gods can leave to find other worlds if things get too bad for them. Before the story in Harem Country there was a war and all of the Dark Gods fled from the world.

The two attributes are what would expect from gods in the real world. Dotan is the god of masculinity and war, Zophiel is the goddess of femininity and beauty, Raegyn is the goddess of athletics and fidelity, etc. Elven gods tend to have more attributes.

There are four races:

Humans (white and ebony)

Elves (light and dark)

Orcs

Cervidae (half deer)

Elves resemble humans, except for their ears. Dark elves are deeply tan, like Indians (from India), but they aren't black. They are also very slender, with small breasts and hips. Light elves have body shapes more similar to humans. Elves can live for centuries, but they are mortal.

Cervidae are half-deer people. They have deer-like legs and tails, as well as antlers growing out of their heads. They spend most of their time living in harmony with nature. They tend to be femininely beautiful (even the males). One can guess what Dotan would do to both the females and males if he got his hands on them.

Orcs are what one would expect. They have green skin, wide chins, and tusks coming out of their mouths. They are bigger than humans, taller, and more muscular. Their gods were scared off by both the human/elven/faun gods, as well as the orcs themselves (they don't like being told what to do).

Ebony Humans are the term for black people in the story. They live in Africa-like lands like savannas, deserts, and jungles. They worship local demigods. Since they are disorganized and tribal they are frequently pushed around by all the other races.

The Elves and Cervidae have gods like humans. Elfish gods are just like human ones, but usually have more attributes and are prissy tight-asses. Cervidae gods are usually taller than average fauns, have plants growing on them and are nature gods. They are like nymphs.

Generally speaking in geography, Altea is the center with diverse geography. The Elves are to the north in the plains. The Orcs are to the east in the mountains. The Fauns are to the west in heavy forests. The Ebony Humans are to the south in the savanna, desert, and jungle.

When gods mix (sexually) with other beings of various ranks, there are sometimes unusual results. A goddess giving birth to a mortal is considered a huge disgrace. Some results of breeding are only mentioned in legends and are thought to be impossible. In general, these are the possibilities:

God x God = ~25% God, ~75% Demigod ;1% mortal (legend)

God x Demigod = ~95% Demigod, ~5% God ;1% mortal (legend)

God x Human = ~25% Demigod, ~75% mortal ;1% God (legend)

Demigod x Mortal = ~10% Demigod, ~90% mortal
