It has been a while since I edited my profile and I decided on a complete makeover. Let me start with the name. It is a pun that I first heard years ago. �Let Dame fortune smile on you always, but never her daughter Miss Fortune.� My given name is not relevant here. In Lit and my writing I use Emma. Granted it is an alias but not intended to mislead or defraud. My father was an American and my mother Irish. I was born in Ireland (the Republic) but we moved to the North when I was 6. I lived there until I attended University in the States. I have remained in the States except for a couple years when I lived in Australia. I am a dual citizen but consider myself an American. I am an avid cyclist. Weather permitting you will most likely find me on the road covering a long distance. It keeps me in shape and is an excellent stress reliever, which I frequently need. I consider my lifestyle to be Bohemian and frugal, others call me iconoclastic and cheap. I live modestly but perhaps a bit austere. My apartment is small, accommodating and suits my needs. I do not own a car and rely on mass transit, the bike, my motor scooter and friends for my transportation. I value friendships but avoid long-term relationship or serious commitments. Both marriages ended badly. The first I was 23, much too young, the second at 29, way to stupid. In either case it did not take me long to realize I am not good long-term company. I enjoy relationships that start out knowing they will end. I do not want to get married, I do not want a live-in partner and I will not have any regrets when it is over but I would like to remain friends. My sexual orientation I share with individuals and do not tend to broadcast in the room. I do not discriminate with chatters and converse freely and openly with anyone. I avoid role-playing. I get more satisfaction by writing erotic stories (some are published) than awkwardly trying to convey my emotions to a cyber stranger. I willingly share experiences about my life as long as the listener is genuine and sincere. They are far more interesting than fiction. I enjoy open and honest conversation in the main room, however, if you do not have the time or the consideration to write a profile, do not attempt to contact me. If you are that inconsiderate you are most likely a poor conversationalist too. If you are a male and your profile describes you a �well hung� or �10 inches� or some other exaggeration, don�t bother me. I have enough experience and understand statistics to know that you are not being honest. If you are a female and described as petite, long-hair, bubble butt and 38D boobs. Don�t bother.
