In the movie "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle", there is a moment near the beginning where Dorothy Parker types "Please God, let me write like a man." For me, it's the opposite. Although I am a straight man, I don't much care for erotica written by other straight men. Usually, the women in those stories are little more than talking blow-up dolls with DDDDDDDDDDDDDD breasts whose sole purpose in life is to have every orifice filled by a penis (or dildo in the lesbian stories). I'm more fascinated--and turned on--by real women who think, speak and behave like actual human beings. So when I write, my prayer is "Please God, let me write like a woman."
